Football University (FBU) is proud to announce that this weekend, Sports Stars of Tomorrow (SSOT), a nationally syndicated television show hosted by legendary NFL announcer Pat Summerall, will dedicate an entire show to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl (USAAB) and the Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl. Sports Stars of Tomorrow, a half-hour show, will portray the exciting All-American Bowl week experience for all of our Youth Bowl and Combine athletes with a primary focus on the game action of the 8th grade unlimited game.

Sports Stars of Tomorrow, the nation's only weekly half-hour high school/collegiate show in syndication, is available in approximately 90% of the nation's television markets on local local ABC, NBC, Fox and CBS affiliates, including New York City (WABC-TV), Los Angeles (KCBS-TV), Chicago (WFLD), and Dallas-Fort Worth (KTXA). Like FBU/All American Games, SSOT searches the country for rising talent and provides fans across the country with a preview of the brightest young stars in sports. FBU/All-American Games and SSOT share a lengthy alumni list, including Tim Tebow (USAAB), Matt Barkley (FBU), Terrelle Pryor (USAAAB, FBU), Jake Heaps (USAAB, FBU), James Wilder, Jr. (USAAB), and Wayne Lyons (USAAB)

The Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl invites the nation's top 7th and 8th grade athletes to San Antonio to play in the only national youth all-star game in the country. The selected athletes come from all leagues across the country. Modeled after its sister property, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl which features the nation's top preps, the Eastbay Youth Bowl provides a glimpse of the youngest generation of football stars. The majority of the selected 7th and 8th grade athletes are discovered at Football University, an elite invitation only camp, that identifies and trains the nation's top youth and prep athletes with the top instructors from the NFL ranks. The camps run from January to July in 40 cities.

You have to see these athletes live to believe their amazing size, ability and overall talent. This weekend the entire country has that chance by tuning into SSOT this Saturday and Sunday. Hope you enjoy the show.

I sent an email with this article to some of the football staff. Of course they can not respond to it, but I'm hoping they catch the show. There are many outstanding players on that unlimited weight 8th grade team that will soon be on the Buckeye radar if they aren't already.

Quick update: Codi has really thrived working out with the varsity Since January. He is really gaining muscle quickly, and has already grown to 6"2 and a half now since XMAS. He went from 260 dough boy to 253 while lifting, now is back up around 263 looking leaner and much stronger. I think he has a chance to hit our goal of 6'3 270 as a Frosh. His maxes lifting right now after two months arent overly impressive (benching 200) but it's really more about mastering lifting techniques right now than it is strength.

He may be given a look at OG or Center on the varsity this season. We are waiting to see what the HC decides. The OL coach wants him in the fold, but it will be the HC decision on whether or not to use him.

Just thought I'd post a short highlight from this past weeks game.
Codi is now up to 6'3 270 as a 9th grader, and is playing very well. My favorite play on this highlight is the first play where he pulls upfield and leads the RB before taking out the Safety about 25 yards upfield. Enjoy~

He is playing Freshmen right now but will be playing varsity soon. They wanted to pull him up and have him start the season as a backup, but I wasn't ok with him not playing. So the agreement we came to is that when they are ready to start him he will move up. Otherwise I've seen over the years them pull kids up and then hardly play them at all. A year wasted IMO.

UPDATE:

I was told yesterday that they want to have him dress out varsity tonight, and play a little. They intend on starting him next week on the OL. Not sure where but I'm hoping for OG or OT. He can play center but doesn't have experience starting there.

I'll have some highlight film from yesterday's game posted soon. He had a very impressive game.
