Scout Video - No. 5 ATH Jamyest Williams plans to make a silent commitment, but when? Then when will he go public?

Wants to make a silent commitment this summer & then make it public during his season. Says he's being recruited the hardest by Ohio State, Tennessee & Clemson. Loves the way OSU develops their players & says a conversation he had with Coach Meyer during his previous visit are reasons he wants to visit again this summer. Also discusses his interest in UCLA, Clemson, Florida State & Georgia.

The staff loves recruiting taller DB's, but the fact he's 5'9'' says everything you need to know about how highly rated he is by the coaches. Also considered by some of the scouting guru's to be the best CB in the nation for '17.

Cautiously optimistic at this stage. If we do happen to get Jaymest on board, I really won't worry much about S. Wade decommitting. I would be shocked if we didn't get Lamont Wade and that would give us a CB class of Jaymest, L. Wade and Williamson. Granted that S. Wade gives us length that the others do not, that would be 3 elite CBs in the same class. I know there are other big targets out there at CB but I have Jaymest right up there with S. Wade and Darnay Holmes.

Rivals $ - Williams to make Ohio State official visit

Recaps working with Coach Coombs at the satellite camp, which he really enjoyed. Will definitely take an official visit to Ohio State & says he also wants to visit again this summer. Has a great relationship with Coach Coombs & says he isn't worried about the number of DBs Ohio State is bringing in, as he knows he'll have to compete no matter where he goes.

No surprise that he chose the Cocks. Hope he has the stomach for 3-4yrs of struggling to get 8 or 9 wins and playing in Liberty and Outback Bowls. But at least he has a free education
