Georgia Bulldogs (2021-2022 National Champions)

For the first time in 15 years, Georgia is 0-2, a fact that might finally bite their head coach -- who seems to have been on the hot seat for well over a year now. Mark Richt looks done at Georgia. There's just little hope he survives a 0-2 start. He'd have to beat Florida.

Stop that! Richt is a good Christian man!!!

That said, he has a losing record to:

1) Spurrier

2) Zook

3) Meyer

....so it is only appropriate that he rides off into the butt sniffer sunset with a losing record to former Georgia Bulldog Team Captain Will Muschamp. :banger:

Woof is always so nice and classy on these threads. I refuse to believe that he is really a Poodle grad or fan. :pissed:

Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity on Georgia's (read: Coach Richt's) status:

"Yeah, you've won the [Mark May]ty games Richt, but don't think that buys you any dap from me sucka!" :slappy:

"What everyone must do at a halfway point - it's just like the
halfway point of a project, the halfway point of anything you do - it's
how you finish that really is the key thing
that everyone has to focus
on right now. Once you think you might have it figured out, you might
rest on your laurels so to speak, that's when you have problems. The
message that we need to have and the message that everyone needs
to have is that each week gets bigger and bigger. To get to certain
levels, you have to work that much harder. You cannot afford to relax
one second and probably have to work twice as hard as you've ever
worked before not even to maintain, but to keep progressing in the
right direction?

Obviously, you're winning the games that really you need to win.
At the same time, those teams (Ole Miss, Mississippi State and
Tennessee) have really struggled. I don't know if there's a (SEC)
win among them
. you've got to keep things in perspective because
there are some big tests coming up."

Geez! This thread hasn't been touched in a minute. Since it involves a Clemson player and $EC $EC $EC vs $EC $EC $EC I figured it fit here.

Sammy Watkins says Clemson should 'beat the mess out of' Georgia

Today is a big day in the college football calendar because it marks the first day that some schools around the country are officially members of their new conferences. It also marks the first day of the last month on the calendar that will not have a college football game played during it.

Yes, the season begins at the end of August. And one of the biggest games on opening weekend is Clemson hosting Georgia on Aug. 31. Though, if you ask Clemson receiver Sammy Watkins about it, he'll tell you that the game should be a blowout if Clemson plays like it's capable of playing.

?Behind the scenes, we like our schedule,? Watkins told the Greenville News. ?People talk about Georgia, Florida State and South Carolina, but I'm not worried about them, I'm concentrated on what we do.

?If we come out and beat Georgia, not just beat ?em but beat the mess out of ?em like we should, I don't see no problems in getting started in the right direction. I don't have disrespect for them or for nobody else, I just believe we can be just the kind of team we want to be. The talent is here. We know how to win.?

Now, let's be clear here. There's a distinction in guaranteeing you're going to beat a team and saying that you should beat a team. Though I doubt people will bother to see the difference when it comes to what Watkins said, and I have a pretty good feelling that Georgia players will know all about what Watkins said before the two teams take the field.

Which is fine with me, honestly, because it's already a matchup of two of the better offenses in the country last season. A little extra motivation for both teams should only make the game that much better.

I guess this could also go in the Sports Media making something out of nothing thread, too.
