In-state Players to Watch

Names to know in 2013 class

Jalin Marshall, Middletown: The quarterback has offers from UC, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Illinois. Marshall, who is 6 feet and 187 pounds, was an Enquirer Division I all-area selection last season. He rushed for 1,405 yards and 17 touchdowns and threw for 659 yards and 12 touchdowns during the regular season.
Chris Davis, Colerain: The running back was first-team all-GMC last season. Davis, who is 5 feet 10 and 185 pounds, rushed for 652 yards and seven touchdowns. He also had 15 receptions for 345 yards and seven touchdowns.
Trey Kilgore, St. Xavier: The wide receiver is a name to watch for the Bombers. He was second-team all-GCL South as a sophomore. He had 27 receptions for 378 yards and three touchdowns.
Alex Gall, Moeller: The 6-foot-5 and 285-pound offensive lineman is one of the top linemen to watch in this class.
Kyle Meadow, Lakota West: The 6-foot-5, 270-pound offensive lineman is a name to watch for the Firebirds.
Ricky Davis, Moeller: The quarterback is a name to watch for the Crusaders. Davis, who is 6 feet 2 and 175 pounds, has offers from Akron and Bowling Green.
Dylan Wiesman, Colerain: The offensive lineman has significant interest from UC. He is 6 feet 4 and 280 pounds.
Daeshawn Durham, Colerain: The defensive lineman is 6 feet 2 and 270 pounds.
Marcus Oliver, Hamilton: The 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker is expected to be a Division I recruit.
Ben Flick, Hamilton: The 6-foot-5, 260-pound offensive lineman is expected to be a Division I recruit.
Marc McGeorge, Elder: The defensive tackle is a name to watch for the Panthers.
A.J. Burdine, Elder: The running back/defensive is a name to watch for the Panthers.
Jake Hilvert, Elder: The offensive/defensive lineman is a name to watch for the Panthers.
Will Steur, Madeira: The offensive lineman is a name to watch for Madeira.
Rasheen Jones, Northwest: The linebacker is a name to watch for Northwest.

Free Scout - Two Early Five-Star Prospects in the East

All week long, Scout is naming a handful of 2013 prospects from each region who will be early five-stars. On Monday, three were named in the South, and Tuesday, two from the Midwest joined them. On Wednesday, one West Coast player joined the mix and today two players from the East Region join the mix.

The Class of 2013 may lack the depth of the Class of 2012, but it doesn't lack in upper echelon talent. There were a handful of players considered for the honor, but ultimately it comes down to two players from Pennsylvania and Delaware respectively. Monaca (Pa.) Central Valley wide receiver Robert Foster and Bear (Del.) Red Lion Christian Academy defensive tackle Kenny Bigelow.

By Givler...Toledo, BG, Notre Dame and Purdue are showing interest...was at the OSU/MSU game and spoke to Greg Gillum...missed all of last year.

Highlights

Pickerington North 49, Lancaster 14

The Panthers, led by quarterback Zach Olszewski and running back Godwin Igwebuike, amassed 444 yards of total offense even though Lancaster nearly doubled their time of possession.

Olszewski went 47 yards on a keeper to make the score 21-7 and Igwebuike followed with touchdown runs of 48 and 54 yards.

Olszewski got plenty of support as Igwebuike rushed for 82 yards on 10 carries.
