In-State Players to Watch

6' 7" Worthington Kilbourne WR Dakota Holtzclaw

Scout $ - Holtzclaw Adding Offers in Ohio

2/9

By The Bank....Offers from Duke, Cincinnati, Bowling Green, Toledo & Miami (OH). Also hearing from Ohio State, Sparty, Georgia, Buffalo & Pittsburgh. Calls OSU his dream school.

Holtzclaw looks like somebody that OSU definitely needs to get into camp in June. It will be interesting to hear how he reps against some top competition. More impressed with his football tape btw.

Agreed, but offense or defense?

Good question. To my eye he looks the most explosive as a SSDE. OSU is already in on several highly touted guys at that spot. '16 looks to be really deep at DE. I think he can play WR somewhere, but not sure he would show out more than Mack, Layne, Corley, or the half-dozen Florida guys that OSU is in on for '16. He looks to have the frame to put on some weight. His natural position may be as a WR/TE hybrid, but we already have Hawkins committed. I hope he camps, competes at FNL, and forces OSU to take a hard look.

He does look explosive at DE, but will need to work at his technique at the next level big time. He seems very raw on defense but a lot of talent. And on offense he can be quite the mismatch, but we have 2 TEs in 2016 and a very possible 3rd. And H back would be an interesting scenario, but Hawkins could already be that guy. He will be a guy to follow closely over the summer and into his senior year

Agree with him being very raw on defense. My view of things a year out from signing is he could be a victim of bad timing. I could see him getting an offer at TE or H at some point in the process many other years. Put some weight on during a red-shirt year and he could make a big contribution. Unfortunately for '16. he has at least 3 guys in Ohio, and a couple in PA higher on the board, with more college ready bodies. I just hate to see a central ohio player with a lot of ability slip by. For all I know he wants to play basketball in college. Someone will get a real nice player with a ready-made nickname. I just hope it isn't another UK special.

Agreed! 2016 is simply loaded, and a number of talented guys MAY(not speaking about him) slip through the cracks. If he were to fall to a B1G team like you said, he could be a star with the right coach.
