WR Austin Mack (2023 Grey Cup Champion, Atlanta Falcons)

Beg to differ with you on those points. He clocked in at back to back 4.46 and 4.47 40s last year at OSU. He runs away from pretty much everyone he goes against and looks fast even though they don't have lawn mowers or field turf in Indiana. Not saying he's Ginn or Devin Smith but the kids speed is better than good enough. Honestly he's the prototypical WR 6'2.5" 4.45, fluid and can jump out of the gym.
For reference, he is faster than AJ Green and Dez Bryant.

Austin was definetly a marked man tonight at FNL when going up against the DBs. He had one where the QB severely underthrew it (if the QB threw it over the top, he'd have caught it in the back of the end zone), but it's hard not to get excited for Austin watching him out there tonight. He's dynamic in and out of breaks and has a knack for getting his hands on the ball. He's perfect for this offense.

Saw all I needed to see with his high pointing the ball at The Opening.

11W COMMUNITY INTERVIEW:BISHOP LUERS' FOUR-STAR WIDE RECEIVER AUSTIN MACK

57109_h.jpg,qitok=_31LdHM_.pagespeed.ce.YUj4oJ1aPU.jpg

Can you elaborate on the recruiting process pertaining to OSU? When did you commit? What was Urban's reaction to your commitment?

AM: Ohio State was the first school that was really prestigious to have offered me. From the start it was more of a effort on my part to build the relationship with the coaches and once I proved myself in the eyes of coach Zach Smith and Urban Meyer, it was more about fun conversations and building the relationship. When I decided it was the right school? I silent committed in the winter last year. When I committed I was in Meyer's office with coach (Kerry) Coombs my family and my coach here in my city and when I said the words coach Meyer and Coombs jumped in the air and said "Boom!"

Trying to recruit Victor and likes our chances with him over Corley. Love it. Mack and Victor outside with McCall in the slot would be an absolute A+ class at the WR position, especially when you consider the TE class of Hausmann, Farrell, and Hawkins as pass catchers.

But Mack might be my favorite recruit in the '16 class, both from a talent perspective and maturity.

Not to mention they won't even be needed because Walker is going to be a STUD.

MACK MAKING MOVES
The lone "pure" wide receiver commitment in Ohio State's 2016 recruiting class, Austin Mack, was back on campus this past weekend. Mack traveled east to watch the Buckeyes during their first fall camp scrimmage and liked what he saw.

"Yeah, I went over there to watch the scrimmage," Mack told Eleven Warriors. "It was good to see what I need to do in order to get ready for next year."

For Mack, at 6-foot-2, 205-pounds, there's just one thing he knows he has to do and it's part of the reason the Buckeyes are hoping he's able to enroll in January. He had a chance to talk to Ohio State about that this weekend.

"(Urban) Meyer said he wants me to get there midyear," Mack said. "So I can get bigger."

The country's 17th-ranked wide receiver is currently in the final four of the NewsSentinel.com Fan Choice Preseason Football Player of the Year voting. The preseason player of the year voting is determined exclusively by the online vote, so if you're a fan and want to help push Mack to the top, make sure you go vote here.

Currently Mack is losing 884 - 567, he can use some more votes.
