JabriLLL "Ghost" Peppers (New England Patriots)

That's what I want to know. And who is JBB?

Me too. I wanted to ask in my previous post, but didn't want to seem as if I was attacking him. JBB is his teammate that came with him, Juwann Bushell-Beatty. Big bodied (6'6" 320) Offensive line prospect. His is a UA all-american, wouldn't be surprised to see OSU offer soon

UM Peppers' best visit: Rival's Free
The Michigan Wolverines are no stranger to hosting high-profile recruits and Thursday Jabrill Peppers stopped in Ann Arbor to see what all the buzz is about.

"I loved it," said the second overall prospect in the Rivals100. "It was a great, great first impression. I grew up a Michigan fan so that certainly helps the cause. I had a lot of fun. It was more than what I expected. I had good expectations for the visit but they definitely exceeded them."

Michigan is one of the cornerback's top schools and he was eager to learn more about the program.

"The coaching staff is very down to earth," said the 6-foot-1, 210-pound Peppers. "They are very cool, laid-back people but when it's time to work, it is time to work. They coach those players hard, which I love. The main thing I liked about them was that they reminded me of my coaches right now.

edit: This one seems like it is trending away, guys.

Michigan may very well still be his favorite, but for the sake of proper context this article and those statements were made prior to his trip to Ohio State. Of course, if you listen to one of our resident Michigan fans Peppers wasn't impressed at all with OSU. By the way Maple, still waiting for your source on that info....

I would not be surprised at all if Michigan leads, but it is April...before any football has been played.

I know that on field performance only factors slightly into a recruit's decision (which some people here even disagree with), but if we run the table and play for a NC, and Michigan goes 9-3....

How many kids talk about the desire to play for a NC? Most of the elite one's do. To say that on field performance doesn't matter is kind of funny. Vonn Bell at his announcement talked about Meyer going 12-0 with mostly players he didn't even recruit, etc etc.

I agree, but I'm just saying that there have been several instances (see James Quick's page) of people saying that it does not matter.

This is a confusing one. Besides him saying "Urban Meyer is a genius" and saying that Osu is set up to win NC's, I haven't read anything else that's came out of his mouth either positive or negative. Maybe he was tired of dealing with all the recruiting guys calling him for 4 days straight. I just wish there was more about his visit positive or negative.

Not saying I wouldn't like to have Peppers, but with the limited numbers, I wouldn't mind signing an extra OL or LB over a five star CB simply b/c we already have guys like Apple, Burrows, Conley, Webb and Lattimore in the pipelines.

With all due respect, there is NOBODY I want more than Peppers in this class...I have him as my #1 overall prospect and the kid is going to be a star. I certainly understand your stance on positions of need but Peppers is just that good. Even if we only had 5 scholarships total this year, I am pretty sure the staff would knock the doors down for Jabrill.

I really want to see him in the S&G, but I would much rather see him at Stanford than scUM. Keep in mind it is early though and with a national guy like Peppers, we will likely see his recruitment come down to NLOID (whether he verbals before or not). No way I saw Bell coming here last year and a 12-0 season and a relentless staff changed that.

Oh I'm sure Urban is going after him until the end, and I hope we land him too, but the room to improve the team at the margin by adding a JUCO OL who can potentially start right away over an unknown commodity is so much greater than adding another five star CB when we already have half a dozen of those in the bag.

Anyways, back to Peppers.

It was his HS coach that was quoted as saying Meyer is a genius, not Peppers.
