Jersey / Uniform Discussion (OSU)

Florida's marketing dept. says that we won't be participating in 2011 - which is fine with me. Word is we might get old school orange jerseys back this year. :banger:

What? Florida doesn't want to join the party and put hologram Gator scales on the helmets to honor....Nike will think of something.

Much as I despise commenting on uniform esthetics, those Nike Pro Combat (what a ridiculous name; did they consult Kellen Fucklow Jr. for that?) unis look to me to be charcoal gray as opposed to black. So the idea of a "black uniform" still appears to me to not be in play.

There already is a bad ass design for scarlet and gray.

Unfortunately, they took the gray out of that uniform too :(

I WANT MY GRAY STRIPES BACK ON THE FUCKING SLEEVES ALREADY.

If they go black, it better look like this (with the old silver pants):

It spits on tradition, but not as badly as using cookie cutter designs like most nike pro combat designs.

See the miami thread (for 2011). It hasn't increased much.

Non-trolling question.

What would alumni rate season tickets go for. Specifically, the individual 3-4 years out of school that is local that wants too drop some coin on fall saturday entertainment. Top level seats, this alumni isn't paying for 50 yard line nonsense.

I actually really like those. People aren't gonna like that it's not tradition, but those would be great.

490-560 - $70 per game for 7-8 games ($70 = face value)
$1500 - minimum donation to Buckeye club
--------------
$2500 for one season ticket.

Note, I believe that $1500 covers a purchase of 2 tickets, so you're only paying face for your second set of tickets.

more details here:

The alumni ticket lottery is another frequently used option:

Jwin - is that 1500 a basic donation or do you have to pay it year after year?
