I'm digging these, although I don't understand why they used a black background for the "shield", Gray would have kept it more consistent. Also don't know about the stripes not going the rest of the way up the pants..it may look awkward when the player is standing straight up

The stripes only going up part way has been a part of every one of the Pro Combat costumes--and does look strange.

not sure why the Team Shop and other places are pulling down the stuff...went to Buckeye Corner and they had everything...except the gloves

Rumor is the gloves and jersey will go on sale after the game...not sure how that is smart though

the theme for this whole thing this year is the Buckeye stripe...it is Nike's point of emphasis on the helmet, gloves, the long sleeve base layer players where under their pads/jersey, the t shirts, the hoodie and the jersey

I recall Coach Meyer saying he deferred any uniform decisions to Archie and some other alumni (Lachey) earlier this season on his call-in show (or a Monday presser).

Since the Pro Combat thing will happen every season, I hope Archie makes sound decisions.

I can't wait until I am more of an old-timer around 2022 and get to bitch about how we need to go back to the 2012 look everyone bitches about now But in all seriousness, a mixture of chrome with some sort of buckeye leaf design would be sick on the helmet. I've also liked the chrome mix with regular helmet surface that Oregon has done this year...not so over the top.

Yep. Chrome belongs on American cars made in the '70s and earlier, and not on football helmets.

In 2022 no one will remember the 2012 single game look.

Aesthetics aside the wearing of overly reflective helmets should be prohibited for game play reasons. Whoever thought that covering players heads with mirrors was a great idea should be shot.

I guess I'm just clearly in the minority then. I think the chrome helmets look badass. Most people I have talked to thought the same. Hmm.

But I moreso meant the regular uniforms. Most people bitch about minor changes to the regular season uniforms when the uniforms they harken back to were altered from previous uniforms as well.
