SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

Sounds like a dangerous game to play by relying mostly on transfers. Kids who were disgruntled at other programs, seem to be quick to bail if the grass isn't necessarily greener

Also a lot of grad transfers that will be 1 and done.
That said, some guys have (limited) success going the JUCO route. That old codger at KState comes to mind, but I'm not sure he's still doing it?
At best it's a stop-gap... especially since it seems they're heading in the direction of stopping the graduated free market. The idealist in me has no problem with the grad rules and likes them on principle... but it'll be ever so amusing to see Harbaugh's lifeline cut.

This is turning out to be a Grand Experiment of Happy Valley proportions.

More pointless jackassery from Ann Arbor's favorite son:

http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/jim-harbaugh-appears-staunchly-unwilling-to-apologize-over-‘american-sniper’-tweet/ar-BBk1Jwd

I'm sure that idiot fan base will rally around this, just like they act as if everything else he does is the greatest thing ever. Or maybe they'll sweep this under the rug, a la their treatment of the Director of Football Operations getting arrested for DUI.
I'm not sure I see how playing American Sniper for the team and refusing to apologize for doing so is either jackassery or anything else we can rightly criticize Harbaugh for.

If this were an action of my kid's coach, I'd welcome the refusal to allow the PC crowd to dictate his communications with his players.

I don't see any jackassery in this. Still doesn't mean he's not a jackass, though...

Politics aside, the guy was either a sociopath and/or seriously mentally disturbed.
He's the poster child for people who join the military b/c it's the only legal way they can satisfy their behavior. If it was my children, I wouldn't want anyone in an influential position propping a sociopath up as a role model. That said, this is college... they're going to get a lot of bs thrown at them from Professors, Coaches, etc. Time to start thinking for yourselves.

Five off-the-field Harbaugh lieutenants to earn $100K-plus in 2015

Jim Harbaugh‘s off-the-field staff will be significantly better paid than his predecessor’s. According to an open records request filed by Mark Snyder of the Detroit Free-Press, two non-coaching assistants will earn $250,000 in 2015 and five will top the six-figure mark, up from the salaries Michigan paid for the same positions on Brady Hoke‘s staff.

Leading the way is Jim Minick, a longtime military man and lifelong friend of Harbaugh’s who was suspended last week after a DUI arrest. He’ll earn $250,000 as the Wolverines’ assistant athletics director for football, up from the $143,000 that Bob Lopez made in the same job last year.

Minick’s salary will be matched by the $250,000 earned by strength coach Kevin Tolbert, a $9,000 bump from the salary garnered by predecessor Aaron Wellman.

Elsewhere in the department, director of operations Rick Finotti will earn $120,000, recruiting coordinator Matthew Doherty will earn $107,000 and director of player development Gwendolyn Bush – also known as the mother of Wolverines graduate transfer Wayne Lyons – will earn $106,000 in 2015.

Yeah, I'm sure Ohio State has some "off the field" guys making "big bucks" too. If you have good people and you want to keep them, you have to pay them accordingly. However, a couple of Harbaugh's are immediately questionable, i.e. Gwendolyn Bush – also known as the mother of Wolverines graduate transfer Wayne Lyons and Jim Minick, a lifelong friend of Harbaugh’s who was suspended last week after a DUI arrest.

Whether you like the movie or Kyle, it's still devisive enough of a topic that Harbaugh going out of his way to enter the fray is, as I mentioned, pointless jackassery.
Well, seeing as the fray started when he texted "if it offends anyone, so be it" (or something close to that), I'd say that even a jackass like him has the right to respond to any criticism of it...

Whether you agree that Jim-bo should have tweeted about the movie or not, or whether his comment was divisive or not, I think we can all agree:
1. Harbaugh is a jackass
2. tsun sucks
3. When in doubt, refer to 1 and 2

This I agree with. The jackassery doesn't come from what side of the issue Harbaugh was on. It comes from taking a campus controversy and forcefully injecting his football program into the middle of it and making it all about him.....The Great Harbaugh who doesn't care who he offends. I'd feel the same way if it was some documentary on Reagan that the Young Republicans were protesting and a coach acted similarly. Stay out of campus politics, don't use your team as an instrument of broadcasting your political views and do your fucking job.
