SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

I knew there was a reason that I never liked Judge Judy:

Jim Harbaugh excited about Judge Judy contract extension

And when he says "Devout Fan" he means it. Harbaugh and his father Jack sat in on a taping of Judge Judy in 2013, and he has referenced the judge in relation to football in the past.

Big Congrats to Judge Judy on signing her contract extension thru 2020 from a Devout Fan!

You guys, he's just trying to follow in the footsteps of another old scUM QB. That other dude hooked up with and married some chick who made a lot more money than he does. Give the guy some credit - at least Hairbraugh knows his league and where he should be shopping......

I'm just going to drop this here:

Asperger's Syndrome:

Individuals with AS experience difficulties in basic elements of social interaction, which may include a failure to develop friendships or to seek shared enjoyments or achievements with others (for example, showing others objects of interest), a lack of social or emotional reciprocity (social "games" give-and-take mechanic), and impaired nonverbal behaviors in areas such as eye contact, facial expression, posture, and gesture.[1]

[...]

People with AS may not be as withdrawn around others compared to those with other, more debilitating forms of autism; they approach others, even if awkwardly. For example, a person with AS may engage in a one-sided, long-winded speech about a favorite topic, while misunderstanding or not recognizing the listener's feelings or reactions, such as a wish to change the topic of talk or end the interaction.[9]This social awkwardness has been called "active but odd".[1] This failure to react appropriately to social interaction may appear as disregard for other people's feelings, and may come across as insensitive.[9]

[...]

The cognitive ability of children with AS often allows them to articulate social norms in a laboratory context,[1] where they may be able to show a theoretical understanding of other people's emotions; however, they typically have difficulty acting on this knowledge in fluid, real-life situations.[9] People with AS may analyze and distill their observations of social interaction into rigid behavioral guidelines, and apply these rules in awkward ways, such as forced eye contact, resulting in a demeanor that appears rigid or socially naive.

[...]

People with Asperger syndrome display behavior, interests, and activities that are restricted and repetitive and are sometimes abnormally intense or focused.

[...]

Pursuit of specific and narrow areas of interest is one of the most striking features of AS.[1]

Harbaugh, UM staff to ‘guest coach’ at Alabama, Texas camps

If it’s good enough for James Franklin and Brian Kelly, it’s apparently good enough for Jim Harbaugh.

In an attempt last May to increase Penn State’s recruiting footprint, Franklin utilized a loophole that allowed he and his Nittany Lion staff to serve as “guest coaches” at high school football camps in Georgia and Florida. The move, which sidesteps an NCAA rule that prohibits coaches from hostingcamps outside of a 50-mile radius around their respective campuses, didn’t sit well with coaches in the SEC and was quickly emulated by the Notre Dame head coach. Kelly also added the fertile Los Angeles recruiting grounds to his camping to-do list.

Fast-forward to today, with mlive.com reporting that Harbaugh and his Michigan staff will serve as “guest coaches” at a camp not only in SEC country, but they’re set to invade Big 12 territory as well. In June, Harbaugh & Company will attend a camp in Prattville, Ala., on the 4th and then follow that up five days later by working one in Dallas, Tex.

The "Hairball roadshow" gets even bigger:

Harbaugh, staff add ‘guest coach’ stops at Florida, PA, Cali camp

Last week it was reported that Jim Harbaugh was going the way of James Franklin and Brian Kelly, with he and his Michigan coaching staff appearing as guest coaches at football camps in Alabama and Texas.

It appears that Harbaugh’s summer road show won’t be limited to just those two states. And one of the new additions may not sit very well with one of UM’s Big Ten rivals.

According to mlive.com, Harbaugh & Company are planning on “guest coaching” at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania June 7. Lafayette is located less than three hours away from Big Ten member Penn State, so that could ruffle the feathers of Franklin and his Nittany Lion associates.

Additionally, Harbaugh will invade Pac-12 country at an undisclosed location in California (June 10) as well as one in Tampa, Florida (June 6).

Finally, the UM staff will make an appearance at a June 8 camp in Houston, Texas. One day later, they’ll “guest coach” at a previously-announced camp in Dallas.

Now coming at a stadium near you!!!

I wonder if he'll have the time to carry on Hoke's tradition, i.e. "pig out a the shit house":

Given what an insufferable asshat most people agree Harbaugh is, I find it humorous he thinks meeting people face-to-face will be helpful to his cause.

Additionally, has he spent any time in Ohio?

Showing people you're an asshat in person across the country, hiring HS coaches in administrative roles, ignoring the place you need to poach kids from in order to have any hope of success.

Brilliant!

His first season hasn't even started yet and he's already pining for warmer climes

It wouldn't surprise me if his goal is to throw in the towel somewhat wrt Ohio and instead focus on his old stomping grounds (Cali) and the other two nationally recruited power states (Texas, Florida).
In a sense that wouldn't be a terrible strategy... because what hope does he really have in getting much out of Ohio? Tressel did an excellent job erecting fences, and now with Urban coming off his 3rd NC and having success invading Cass Tech... realistically he's not going to get much in the Great State of Ohio.
So it's not surprising he's trying to emulate ND by going National... only scUM doesn't have a religious base to draw from and their rep is very low nationally.
So I don't think it'll work that well.

I think the John Cooper days of players form the Great State or Ohio going north was caused by Cooper's losses.

There was another few players leaking during tattoo gate.

But yeah, as long as Urb keeps winning, players should mostly stay.

The perspective of a 16 year old player today is that tOSU has been winning since they were in diapers.

...guest coach...is that like a code word used to throw off the NCAA investigators?

Guessing HCUM, Head Coach of tsun and TECUM, tight end coach, will do their hugely popular seminar, "TWITTER, Recruiting Tool of the Future. (Bring your own crayons. Colored markers if you took the pre-req, FACEBOOK TO FIND YOUR NEXT QB).

Cooper didn't focus a lot on Ohio... he was an outsider that came in and recruited nationally pulling phenoms like Shawn Springs.
He was good at it too... an outstanding national recruiter. But Ohio State didn't really need that, and it resulted in a lot of the Ohio talent going elsewhere (mostly up North). In that sense he was better for the Conference than he was for Ohio State specifically. You look at the talent on some of those teams, particularly in the mid 90s, and it's near criminal that he wasn't able to win at least 1 NC. It wasn't a mistake what Tressel (who wasn't a great recruiter, but did lock up Ohio and was a better Coach overall imo) was able to do with that talent in his 2nd year.

For about 30 years 70's, 80's and 90's scUM took talent out of Ohio and was relevant

In 2001 someone shut off the spigot and their program hasn't been the same since

Until Jimbo and that crayon eating imbecile son of his start coming into Ohio and beating out Urban Meyer head to head for Ohio talent, they aren't going to get "back" to where their delusional fan base thinks they belong.

Not sure Shawn Springs is a good example. Sure, he's from Virginia, but his dad played for Woody.
