SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

This. It looks like he has no idea what he is doing. Basically, I think in the back of his mind he is saying "Holy Fuck, what the hell did that fat fuck leave me?"

And his comments on Suga Shane you can see he is forcing himself to say things in a positive way.

I would bet the The Harbrau is pining hard for the NFL by the end of next season (in which I see them barely breaking .500.)

:biggrin2:

I doubt he leaves that soon. I see Jim Bo staying a few years, at least 3-4 so that his new employers in the NFL see he's not a quitter. It's hard to try and snag another NFL HC position when you stay at a school for 2yrs and hardly make them much better. ScUM is a job he's going to need at least 2-3yrs to even make them somewhat respectable. But I do agree with everything else you've said. The cupboard was left pretty damn bare, and he's in a state that doesnt produce a large amount of talent, this ain't Cali.

For the record...(link)

"Bo learned me good, never to be late for a meeting or practice," he said.

And the coach won a few games here, setting the standard for what Harbaugh is inheriting.

"If Michigan is looking for someone to walk up to Urban [Meyer] in pregame and punch him in the nose," Ron Lynn said, "they got the right guy -- literally and figuratively."

Lynn is Stanford's 70-year-old player personnel director hired by Harbaugh at the school in 2008. He's seen up close what is about to happen here.

These first Harbaugh practices have been full go. Instructions were that quarterbacks -- even in Saturday's spring game -- were tackled all the way to the ground. That is almost unheard of. Anywhere.

"I could sit there and coach off the tape or coach on the field about getting back real quick on your drop," Harbaugh said of his quarterbacks, "but nothing drives that home like it's real, now."

Apparently, English was not a requirement. As for Urban Meyer, we'll see about that.

Having QBs as incredibly terrible as Suga Shane is also unheard of at a major D1 football program.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harbaugh is hoping his current QBs get injured to make room for the five QB cast offs he'll be bringing in before the season.

Evidence for my autism spectrum theory continues to pile up.

I'm just going to drop this here:

I must admit that HarBo does seem to have this strange look on his face much of the time, but since this quote came from someone other than HarBo, I'm not sure this is further evidence of his mental state.

The evidence wasn't the quote itself, but that other people think Harbaugh would punch someone in the face for no reason.

As far as I know, no one has ever claimed Bobby Knight would punch someone in the face pre-game like it was a good thing.

But Jim Harbaugh, well, apparently he's a different sort who doesn't exactly understand social normals.

Maybe that guy literally does not know what the word literally means.

They are setting themselves up for the most glorious of all failures. Imagine the overwhelming sense of hopelessness that will ensue when not even the illegitimate er, prodigal son of Bo himself can restore them to a national power.
