Jordan Hicks (Philadelphia Eagles)

Glass half empty kinda guy, eh?

I think this class is very solid. I, along with what seems like the vast majority of the rest of the people on this site, fully expected Jordan to committ to Texas. However, I feel good about Seantrel Henderson. If we land Henderson, this is a great class.....without him, this is still a very good class.

Floyd is the only fair one there. He was all Buckeye, but we lost him in the 11th hour. Anderson and Hicks were different situations though. Anderson likely chose a school he knew he could get into without problems. Hicks went to his dream school. I've noticed in reading on other sites that most people don't seem to realize that Hicks grew up in Texas. It's not like we lost a kid that was born and raised in the heart of Buckeye country here. We lost on a kid who got the chance to play for his childhood favorite. No reason to feel bitter about that.

Best of luck to Jordan! I look forward to seeing his name on highlight clips in the coming years! Hopefully just not against our boys in any future bowl games!

Jordan didn't grow up in Texas. He was born in South Carolina actually, moved around a bit and then settled in Cinci. He grew up a Texas fan though.

He is a great kid and is going to a great program. No doubt in my mind he'll have amazing success there and he deserves it.

This class hasn't shaped up the way the staff or fans had hoped, but it's still a good class. There may not be as much "home run" potential, but there's a lot of guys who I don't see falling through the cracks. Kids with strong work ethics and the talent it takes to be a factor for OSU down the road. We've got a young team so there's no need to rush these kids in to play right away, so I'm not too worried.

I get the feeling we came in 3rd if that matters? Oh well.... best of luck JH.

We also have the most depth at linebacker of those 3. If I was Jordan and I grew up in Texas when I was younger, I would make the same decision. If he was born and raised in Ohio then I would be disappointed. Next!

edit: And Florida didn't get him. That makes me more happy than anything.
