The article is actually free (for now anyways). Interesting side note is he said he doesn't have a written offer from Texas yet, and that he hasn't been in contact with them recently. In any event, that is quite the list of suitors...seems like a 5 star to me, or top 50 guy minimum.

My name is Eric and I attend Lakota West High School and Jordan is one of my best friends, that kid is amazing and were have both received offers from Notre Dame and Cincinnati so we are going to travel together. Most likely Irish because we both like what they have to offer, just thought you guys would like to know! O yea and some one said he must play for Wisconsin, HAHA lol we get that a lot but Lakota West has the same logo as Wisconsin. Thanks to all of our supporters and get ready to cheer for us at college!!

:oh::io:

Good luck, congrats, and enjoy BP!

These highlights, from what I can tell, appear to be different than those available on ScoutingOhio. They appear to be junior highlights as the stats listed initially in the video appear to match the junior numbers here.

Absolute monster...

Wow, he comes from offscreen into the backfield to make the play. I knew they played him occasionally at Safety. With that ability, I can see why.

Man, Lakota East is so not winning the East-West game with this guy on the West D...

Texas usually doesn't offer kids like this until they come to a junior day or camp. That's when Hicks is expected to receive his official written offer from them. I'll be pulling for this kid to succeed in college and beyond wherever he goes (texas), it's good for Ohio kids to do great even if they say no to us (just as long as it's not at TSUN).

Good point but you also have to consider how good the LB class in Texas is for 2010. If the class is strong which I suspect it is, it's possible that Hicks conceivably does not get the offer he's coveting.

You'd think we would have all learned by now...

Beanie Wells was quoted as saying he rooted for Michigan growing up..even during "The Game"

Brandon Saine was assumed to be a sure thing heading North.

Fellows and Wilson were committed elsewhere...

Why is everyone just conceding that this kid is going OOS?

He might end up leaving, but I'm guessing JT and staff make it much tougher than most of you are right now.

ESPNU actually asked Dre Kirkpatrick a decent question during his announcement:

Q: Dre, all 11 players from Alabama that Nick Saban offered committed to the Tide. Why do you think everyone is going to Alabama?

Dre: Because he sold our parents, not us.

Not saying JT can't sell Jordan, but I'd imagine Jordan's family would like him to be 1 hour and 45 minutes away instead of a long plane ride.

To be fair there was always solid information there...Wilson was torn between us and ND...Fellows jumped on the early offer from Illinois and there was info that he was thinking about switching once the offer came from us...There was info about Saine being upset Michigan took so long...

As for Hicks the info is all wants to go South to play...Texas is the favorite if he is offered, and Florida is #2...

Not saying it isn't going to happen obviously, it is just that there isn't much solid info other than wishful thinking here...

Now guys like James, Ware are different stories where they might of grew up with other schools, but we are going to be in the game...hicks was a transplant to Ohio in the 7th grade...
