Jordan Hicks (Philadelphia Eagles)

As for Hicks the info is all wants to go South to play...Texas is the favorite if he is offered, and Florida is #2...

Not saying it isn't going to happen obviously, it is just that there isn't much solid info other than wishful thinking here...

Absolutely...but my point is simply don't count out JT. Nothing more. We've seen this story before and the ending is never guaranteed. Plenty of counterpoints to your breakdown of examples but I'll keep us on Jordan...

And that is exactly what I meant by wishful thinking, is we have JT on an instate kid...So there is always a chance...

The question is whether Jordan views himself as an Ohio boy or not,

BN$--Hicks Talks Ohio State And Texas (Video Added)

Jordan says he is not close to making a decision and will narrow things in the summer before taking official visits.

Uh oh, how does this follow Texas's timeline for him to commit? They always have tons of LBs in state and nearby, are they willing to wait it out for an OOS LB form Ohio? I guess we'll just have to wait and see with Jordan.

I think it is important to point out that Texas has offered three LBs in-state (Aaron Benson, Shaun Lewis and Tevin Jackson) with one already committed (Jackson) and are supposedly going to offer Corey Nelson (although Oklahoma seems to be the favorite for him).

I would think some of the competition might see Jordan as an athlete that might just as easily end up at SS. If he is serious about a school, it would be hard to turn away that kind of talent.

Some kids just want to get out of town when given the opportunity, even kids who lived their whole lives in said town/state. We've all seen it before, and this may be another instance of that. But we also all know that JT and tOSU have a whole lot to offer kids, and not just during their college days. There are a ton of former Buckeye players who have made their fortunes in Columbus after playing football, or basketball for the Bucks. Unless his mind is closed and he is intent on leaving the state, the Bucks, and Illini  have a shot.

Maybe in the right defense (like Georgia with the LB/SS hybrids), but he is likely a LB at the next level. I have to say that it seems that Hicks is a kid that is adamantly looking to leave the state. We always have a shot with JT of course, but we have an uphill battle. Yet another reason to offer Alex Smith now ...

Rivals $

2/9

From the Texas site...says he is reluctant to call any school a favorite until he has done more research and made some visits...says new schools like USC, Alabama and ND have entered the picture giving him more to think about.
