Drew Barker (official thread)

Not sure if those around are his teammates or not. This happened at an EKU dorm. Someone did at least put Barker's hat back on his head FWIW.
I'm pretty sure those are his teammates. EKU is about 40min away from Lexington and UK, its not out of the question to think UK players party in Richmond and have friends at EKU as well. No different than OSU and colleges in the central OH area.

Entirely possible. I just wasn't sure and couldn't find in the article any mention that they were. The bystanders were just called "those in the area." Still nice of that gentleman to put Barker's hat back on for him. Hats off to him.

I was extremely surprised that a dude that big had to be such a pussy to almost come from behind to hammer Barker from the side.. and then run away
Even if Barker was being a total ass.. I hope the EKU dude gets charged

This all seems extremely "Kentucky" and am glad Barker was able to stay home and have fun with his friends in college.

Tell me if you think this seems extremely "Kentucky". I lived in KY from 2009 until 2012 in Paducah. The night we were finishing up moving into the house we decided to eat at a fast food place instead of cooking as we were exhausted from moving. We're sitting in a McD's and a bunch of high school aged kids come in and order. All but one of them gets their food and waits outside for the remaining girl to get her order. Of course they are all texting and/or talking on their phones. A few minutes later one of the kids comes in from outside and tells the waiting girl "come on we have to go right now". Waiting girl says I don't have my order yet. Other kid says we have to go right now because Billy's mom just called and said Billy's dad just got shot in their front yard. My wife (whose mother was from Kentucky) looked at me with wide eyes, mouth agape and I simply replied, "welcome to Kentucky".
