James Quick (WR Louisville)

Trinity's Quick plans 2-3 visits

Trinity High School?s James Quick, considered the top football prospect in Kentucky, is making two visits this month.

Quick?s father, Rhonyia Quick, said his son will make an unofficial visit to Louisville on Saturday and then head to Ohio State on April 21. There?s a chance Quick also could visit a Southeastern Conference school, perhaps Tennessee, this month.

?It?s time for him to start looking at the schools,? said the elder Quick, who played at U of L. ?He?ll probably have it down to five schools before August.?

The 6-1 Quick, who is considered a top-30 prospect nationally, has more than 3,000 career receiving yards. He has scholarship offers from Louisville, Ohio State, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Michigan, Illinois and Auburn.

Quick helped Trinity to back-to-back Class 6-A football titles and also helped the Shamrocks to the state basketball title last month.

His infatuation with Oregon concerns me...otherwise I think this is a Louisville/OSU battle.

Here's to hoping they get their NOA before summer to take them out of the race.

I don't get the Diggs/Quick comparison besides 2 kids choosing between the home school and big time national schools. Quick seems nothing like Diggs attitude/personality wise which can only be viewed as a good thing.

I think he was being ironical...

Really hope OSU wins out with Quick over Louisville. It's hard to pull these kids away from their home town colleges...but never rule anything out with Urban. Upside to this kid is through the roof! Spectacular returner, great hands at WR, and can run the ball. Huge get if OSU lands this guy. :oh:
