LB Curtis Grant (National Champion)

Saw over on the Gaytor board. I don't troll other boards but being here in Florida and with Shazier picking tOSU I had to look. They were trashing him. Saying he was to small and really wanted Grant anyways. I just didn't have the heart to tell them he was on his way to tOSU campus right now. I know he may not become a Buckeye but I sure hope so.:oh:

Me thinks they call that "m*ch*g*n man syndrome".

Curtis Grant and Darius Jennings Are in the House This Weekend

By Tim Bielik (Ohio State Featured Columnist) on December 18, 2010

. . .

And with the time left in the recruiting season, the visitors might not get much better than 5-star LB Curtis Grant from Virginia and Maryland's electric ATH Darius Jennings.

. . .

Grant appears to be a Ray Lewis-esque player, bringing the same type of athleticism and intelligence to the LB position; something OSU is very familiar with having in past seasons.

Curtis Grant Visits Buckeyes

Scout $ - 12/19

By Laura McKeeman....Recaps his official to Ohio State over the weekend. Speaks very highly of Coach Tressel. Doesn't claim a leader but says Ohio State, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia are his top schools at the moment. Will officially visit Florida on the weekend of January 14th, followed by a visit to North Carolina.

Sorry Wad.

BTW, I loved reading about his experiences on his visit. Sounds like he really liked it there. I didn't think he had any shot at him a couple weeks ago, now it seems we have a fairly good shot. This class could be gigantic.

Rivals $ - LB Grant impressed with OSU

12/19

By Farrell...calls his visit awesome...talks about the LB tradition at OSU and sees himself as playing a role like AJ Hawk did...plans to visit Florida and North Carolina and possibly UVA...UGA and Michigan are in the mix for a visit as well.

The only downside to everything I've heard is that OSU was his first visit...I would have liked to have been the last one...hopefully guys like Shazier his "cousin" stay on him about OSU...

It is true that you want to be last because it will be the freshest memory when making your decision. The upside with being first is that he is now comparing the other schools with Ohio State. The bar is now set pretty high.

I agree with wadc45, hopefully other recruits stay in his ear. The only thing I hope the OSU staff would do is conduct the home visit with Fickell and Tressel as soon as possible after his Florida visit. Try to offset the buzz of the Florida visit. Everything I have read he talks very highly about the OSU staff.

The part that gives me hope is that he really seemed to connect with Coach Tressel and appreciate his style of recruiting. I am hoping that Jabari Gorman jumps on board soon. It can't hurt that Grant is related to Shazier.
