LB Darron Lee (National Champion, Super Bowl Champion, Fugitive)

Pepper Jonson , Kumerow and Spielman might laugh at you but , Lee has been all over making plays and I don't want too start anything but, Mitchell Might have been behind him
They're going to have to be really great to be considered as good as (or better) than these three:

I don't know why it's so ridiculous to comment on their potential. There have been some great LB's at tOSU, but the potential the youngsters have is undeniable. Having imo, the best LB coach in the country doesn't hurt either. They may not realize their potential, but they may, and there's nothing wrong with getting excited.

No doubt. Totally excited about their potential. I'd love nothing more than to see the aforementioned trio go down as the greatest ever. But I could say that about every single position group on the team. So, I don't think it's necessarily ridiculous, because the potential seems to be there. It just seems a bit premature at this point to me. I personally need to see them dominate some teams other than the Golden Flashes before I start talking that way...

I don't think it's out of the realm mainly due to Lee and Kwon being both freshman. If both are around as seniors (doubt kwon is) then it very well could be one of the best we've had. I keep saying it but holy shit NEXT YEAR. Kwon/Lee/Perry and with a front four of Spence (praying), Schutt, Washington and Bosa

There is potential as Lee continues to develop at the position and in the weight room. Kwon already looks the part and we will see how he does throughout the season. Then you throw in a future where you add in Booker/Hubbard/Hilliard/Connor and it is feasible to think that we could have a starting 3 that could be mentioned in those groups, especially with the front 4 they will have in front of them to open up lanes to make plays. Getting back to Lee though, he has exceeded my expectations by a wide margin thus far and will only get better with time.

Washington is gone, IMO. And don't want to put all eggs in the Spence basket. Would be good if he returned, but how about Holmes, Schutt, Bosa and someone else. Hopefully Gallimore and Sweat in there as well.

Washington will be back. He hasn't done anything for his first 2 years and now is playing a new position which he is under weight for. Unless he loses his mind and destroys everyone he will be back next year.

Also I am hoping for Spence next year but don't expect it. We would be more than fine with Holmes/Slade next year though

This is sarcasm right?
I have a theutmost rspect for this board but the above post should lead to a ban or at least a strong censure.

"It's good to once again have optimism about our linebackers. We haven't been in that happy place for awhile."

This I an agree on.

If you look at the LB's we have brought in since 2009; it is a startling study of incompentence, bad luck, clown show.
