With their upcoming game against LSU, Auburn is likely to start 1-3, and was an overtime against UL Monroe from probably be 0-4. Their schedule the rest of the year is not particularly daunting, but I could definitely see them ending up with a losing record which will hopefully help our chances and Gene Chizik's seat might be starting to feel a little hot.

Chizik is gone if you ask me. His seat was hot when the season started and it's on fire now. With Alabama having the success they've had recently, I'd look for Auburn to pony up some huge cash to bring in a big name coach.

Chizik is on the hot seat... but he wont be gone after this year.... Next year yes... Something tells me Ole Gene might have an insurance policy against a "rushed" firing by Auburn

Under .500 this year and I could see them contemplate a switch but still think he gets at least 1 more year, heck the guy b(r)ought them their first title in 50+ years.

I already have stock in Dooley getting fired, Strong leaving, and Pitt being a complete disaster so why not add another to the mix.

No, that would be Cam Newton.

I was told by someone with close ties to the Auburn coaching staff that because of the NC he [strike]bought[/strike] won, Chizik will get at least another year before the heat really gets turned up...take that FWIW.
