MD DT Adam McLean (Maryland signee; currently ineligible)

As of a month ago, no mention of PSU at all. Never mentioned as a favorite, never mentioned as a likely visit destination. He takes an unofficial weekend visit to crappy valley and all of a sudden he's all PSU? No official visits for Adam? He's done with recruiting?
I just want to make sure I've got the story straight.

Keep in mind it's only April. Long way until February.

Franklin is a very good recruiter. But like was stated, they still have to play the games. 10mos until NSD, I'd still put money on urban & staff for a number of PSU commits.

The PSU staff is also preaching the "holes in the depth chart" speak right now so if the recruits are buying what Franklin is selling, it could work to their advantage, even if PSU has another mediocre season this fall. I think this year might be Franklin and PSU's toughest as far as talent goes but if recruits see any bit of progress with the situation they have been dealt, I think PSU is going to be a formidable opponent for OSU in the next few years.

The relative recruitment of McLean and Fulwood presents a study in contrast. Both prospects expressed heavy interest and in tOSU in general and LJ SR. in particular. One got offered within a week of LJ taking over and the other one had to wait months before the offer came through. One set up and went through with the visit, the other didn't get so much push for a visit. OSU pessimists may chalk this one up as a "loss", but I think OSU is just being smart with their priorities.

UA All-American McLean talks visits
"I'm definitely going to take an official visit to Ole Miss," said McLean. "Right now I'm in between Texas and Texas A&M. I might go visit Maryland, Tennessee or Ohio State. I'd like to get out west once but it's a bit of a time crunch with the end of the season and Signing Day. I'm pretty sure I'll work it out and I'm definitely going to take an official visit to Penn State, of course. I think that one will be Jan. 23."

Mentions strong relationships with both Coach Johnson and Matthew Burrell in video interview.

No doubt this season has played a hand in it. However, if a kid or his parents cannot see that we will probably win 7 games, go bowling, have the #1 defense in the nation, all with the 2nd youngest team in CFB with 43 ships, then they are just ignorant. The potential is so huge here its not even funny. Ohio State was lucky to beat us and thats just being honest as we all know the refs put us behind the 8 ball and kept on jamming us.
