11W - THE HURRY UP: NEWS AND NOTES FROM FRIDAY'S ONE-DAY CAMP AT OHIO STATE

Apparently was the best pure corner at camp, which is really saying something with all that talent there. Article says "he will be the best corner to ever come out of Cass Tech." That is awfully high praise, can't wait to watch him develop.

Certainly is high praise, as I thought the best CB to come out of Cass Tech was on the OSU roster already... Kid is definitely talented though, I'm sure some WRs thought because of his height that they had mismatches until the ball was in the air and Xavier made a play on it

That's what I was thinking...if he is anywhere close to as good as Webb was in high school, he will be tremendous.

He looks like he's seriously in middle school!
Don't let his appearance or size fool you, he can flat out ball. Still slight in frame, but when he fills out, look the eff out. Still just a HS Freshman...

Anyone who watched the DBs at FNL last summer should remember this kid. He looked like he was barely 5' tall and was making crazy plays against much older, bigger receivers. It was hilarious and awesome to watch. So much so that I spent most of my time watching the DBs. I expect him to get offers from all the top schools sooner or later.

Xavier enjoyed his time in Columbus & was impressed by the level of competitiveness at Ohio State. Enjoyed being able to spend more time with Coach Coombs & the Cass Tech family at tOSU while continuing to build relationships with the coaches.
