Ohio State recruiting: State Secrets, 7/14
Heading down to Columbus on July 24 and staying through the 26th, four-star Michigan offensive tackle Thiyo Lukusa will be one of the many recruits participating in the Friday Night Lights camp held at Ohio State on the 25th.

The 6'5 and 300 pound Lukusa received his offer from the Buckeyes last month after impressing the coaching staff at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp in Detroit. A four-star prospect, the Buckeyes are joined by Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois, and Wisconin as teams who have offered the Traverse West (MI) junior.

Michigan 4-Star OL Will Make Two-Day Ohio State Visit

Traverse City (Mich.) West 2016 offensive lineman Thiyo Lukusa will have a busy weekend. Lukusa will be in Columbus for the Ohio State Friday Night Lights camp, visit Louisville on Saturday, and possibly attend Michigan’s BBQ in the Big House on Sunday.

Lukusa will fly to Columbus on Thursday morning and visit Ohio State on Thursday and Friday before working out at Friday Night Lights. He will then drive to Louisville for a visit there on Saturday, and then drive back to Columbus and fly home on Saturday evening. He may then make it to Michigan on Sunday.

Lukusa has a half dozen scholarship offers. His list is made up of Ohio State, Michigan State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois and Akron.

The 6-foot-5 and 300-pound Lukusa, who plays left-tackle, is a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country’s No. 247 prospect, the No. 22 offensive tackle, and the No. 4 prospect in Michigan.

Mind of Mike
With Michigan floundering badly this season, the 2016 recruiting class is also taking notice as three-star offensive lineman Thiyo Lukusa is starting to lean elsewhere. The Wolverines were seen as the early leader for Lukusa, who plans to make his decision in early December, but now it seems as though both Ohio State and Michigan State have passed the Wolverines. It's didn't help that he was in attendance for the Minnesota loss either.

He did not make All State nor all-Division. Not sure about him. His teammate on the OL made all-Division.
Ironic that a stellar student athlete that had OSU #1 on his list, David Moorman, made 1st team All-State OL and when OSU eased off, committed to Wisconsin.

Ohio State Visit Gives Lukusa More To Think About
Traverse City (Mich.) West 2016 offensive lineman Thiyo Lukusa made another visit to Ohio State this past weekend, arriving early Saturday afternoon, and came away more impressed than ever.

“It was great,” Lukusa said. “I talked to coach (Ed) Warinner, coach (Kerry) Coombs, and coach (Urban) Meyer. It went well. It definitely helped (Ohio State).”
