Seantrel Henderson (Buffalo Bills)

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Henderson's rare talent draws coaches north (free)

"Our last high-profile athlete was [Notre Dame freshman wide receiver] Michael Floyd," Scanlan says. "[Ohio State coach] Jim Tressel never found a way to our building when they recruited Michael Floyd, and they wanted him badly. Tressel has found a way to get here. I've got a feeling we'll see [UCLA coach] Rick Neuheisel.

"The only time we saw [USC coach] Pete Carroll was when they were recruiting [current Denver Broncos starting offensive tackle] Ryan Harris. That would be the litmus test."

He said he's always liked Notre Dame. He likes Minnesota, too. He said he's interested in Florida, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Iowa, USC and Texas Tech, even though he didn't know where Lubbock was.

I know that it can get very cold in Minnesota but Seantrel might want to go to Lubbock, Texas when the winds are blowing across the Texas Panhandle. Talk about frigid. Okay now back to Henderson. I just had to get that whether tidbit in:(

From the Iowa site...talks about the visit he made a few weeks ago to Iowa...plans to cut his list to 10-15 by next football season...will eventually cut his list to five and will take his officials.

Nothing like having 5 stars in the 2-deep at each tackle............. :yow2::yow2::yow2:

Man, I pray Seantrel's interest with Ohio State is legit and keep growing

2008-2010 recruiting classes:

LT: Mike Adams - Seantrel Henderson
LG: Marcus Hall - Sam Longo or (2010 stud OL)
C: Michael Brewster - Jack Mewhort
RG: Corey Linsley - Sam Longo or (2010 stud OL)
RT: J.B. Shugarts - Andrew Norwell

Have we EVER had this kind of success on the OL recruiting in successive years? HIGHLY doubt it.

Henderson is obviously a great player with all the tools he needs to excel at the college level and beyond, but I question the level of competition he is currently going up against, it doesn't seem to be very strong (or maybe I am way off base and he is just that good).

Same competition as Michael Floyd of ND went up against. He seems to be doing alright.

Cretin plays against the best teams in Minnesota. While it may not be like playing against the best teams in the top HS football states, Henderson is playing against the best schools JL and Mobley faced.

an early public commit by Montana could pay dividends here....with the schools this kid is interested in, looks like he wants to be on the National Stage and Minny might be on the outside looking in..........(note PSU is new, and ND not listed)

Remember all those Irish fans hooting and hollering saying Henderson is a lock? I was probably one of them at one point.

Not the case today.

The vibe I'm getting is that Minnesota, Ohio State, and the Irish have the best chance at him overall. And while I think the Irish have the makings to get him in the end, we're not even penciling his name into our recruiting class, let alone using ink. Probably going to drag this out 'til the very end, and have a lot of melodrama up and downs to go along with it.

I think USC and Minnesota will be the finalists for Henderson.

Though the depth chart at LT for ND is very enticing.

Brewster is doing a decent job of plugging the Cretin-Durham link and Henderson and his father have professed their admiration for USC.
