No. 1 vs. No. 2 Showdown Highlights 2014 GEICO ESPN High School Football Showcase
Week 3
Bergen Catholic (NJ) vs. No. 10 St. Peter’s Prep (NJ)
Thursday, September 11: 7 p.m. on ESPNU from St. Peters Prep, Jersey City, N.J.

  • Bergen Catholic (NJ), a traditional state power, returns junior quarterback Jarrett Guarantano, No. 140 in the ESPN 300. Guarantano has received more than 15 Division 1 offers
  • St. Peter’s Prep (NJ) finished last season at 10-2, advancing to the New Jersey State Playoffs Championship
  • St. Peter’s Prep (NJ) returns the top two players in the state, both in the ESPN 300: Senior cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick (No. 27 and Alabama verbal commit) and senior quarterback Brandon Wimbush (No. 71 and Penn State verbal commit)
Should be interesting to watch Guarantano go head to head with Wimbush...

Not to play Debbie downer here, but we were also in the top 3 for deshaun Watson, Brandon Harris and kyle Allen a year ago early in the process as well. With more than a year to go until the NSD for the 2016 class, their top schools don't really matter yet, IMO. So much can happen until the end of their seasons and even our own. But its good to know that were at least being considered by the top qbs.

On the bright side Danny Clark really likes us and has us as his number 1. lol

While I completely understand your take, none of those guys ever had us on top, let alone consistently. We'll get at least one of those guys, if not 2. If I'm wrong, I will eat my crow in silence. As for Guarantano, kid is legit...I would only have him slightly behind Henry and Haskins.
