Kareem WaLLker (dismissed from ttun)

Let's see if he shows up.

Still having a hard time seeing it. The Michigan staff asks Sam Webb to sit on the news that Walker is visiting in the first place to keep it on the down low so OSU would not find out and try to stop it. It gets out, but Walker pushes aside any concerns OSU has to visit anyway. Then on Sunday night the Michigan staff leaks to Webb that Walker was trying to arrange a return visit for MSU. Why do they suddenly want this information out there? Why do they not want it to be an under the radar trip?

I have no doubt that Michigan asked him to come back this week.

I have no doubt that Walker said he would see what he could do.

I have no idea how serious Walker was about a return trip, but if he was real serious it makes much more sense to keep quiet about a second trip until he actually is there. This to me looks like an attempt by Michigan to drive a wedge between OSU and Walker. If it works than the worst that will happen to Michigan is OSU and Walker will part ways. The best is that Michigan will be there to pick up the pieces if that happens. To me that is the only thing that makes sense given how far Michigan was behind OSU in Walker's recruitment.

On the other hand, if he shows up in AA Saturday we are in trouble.

I read Walker's statement as a de-commitment. He didn't mention Ohio State once, which normally a verbal will do just to temporarily re-affirm. And with Ohio State chasing after the RB committed to Wisconsin, there is some faint writing on the wall.

"The sky is falling" said the chicken with a sky of blue over his head, pecking around in his freedom. Meanwhile the slaughterhouse chickens don't even have a sky to fall on them.

When you have the #1 recruiting classes in the current cycle and next years cycle it means that you have verbal commitments from top kids that everyone wants. It's like dating the hottest girl in school. Everyone will always be trying to steal her from you. Buy hey it's better than being the dumb shmuck fishing for left overs.

Yea, it's the follow up visit when that is concerning, especially since A) it's on your own dime, B) it's to your rival, and C) the team you're committed to is having a big game as well. Now if MSU vs. UM was at noon and he was doing a two-for-one, I'd think zero of it. But that wouldn't be the case.
No offense but the game in aa this weekend is much bigger. It is a rivalry game with both teams supposedly on the up swing. Our is a game with just another shitty big ten team that loses to the Mac. It's interesting hat they got the 3:30 spot on espn while we have the prime 8 on abc spot.

It's the black uniforms. ABC is looking to test out their night-vision camera technology.

Wasn't trying to say that our game is any where near the MSU vs UM game in terms of importance. But it's still a big game in general. If it were OSU vs. PSU at 3:30, then it's not a big game. But night game vs a historical program and first game in OSU history wearing black jerseys? Yea, that's enough to call it a big game IMO. One factor you're also overlooking that I mentioned is that it will cost him $XXX to go to the UM vs MSU game. It will cost him exactly $0 to go to the OSU vs PSU game. Would have less of a problem if he were out of official visits, or hadn't officially visited them yet and was taking a free visit to their game.

FWIW.
What started as a message board rumor has now been confirmed by a source with direct contact to the University of Michigan coaching staff: The nation's class of 2016 #1 high school running back, 5-starKareem Walker, who has been commmitted to Ohio State since January 12th (the day they won the National Championship) has indicated to fellow Michigan recruits that he intends to de-commit from the Buckeyes and pledge his services to Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh this weekend, when the Wolverines take on #6 Michigan State. (Note - this is the same source who heard directly from Harbaugh's father that Jim would be Michigan's next coach on Dec 18, 12 days before being introduced).

Oh what tangled webs we weave.

Did Urban tell him you're either in or out, you have a day to decide?
If so, did he decide to stick with OSU and actually cancel his Michigan trip?
Or is he planning on flipping to Michigan, but doesn't want OSU to know so he is telling them he won't go to Michigan?
And if that's the case, does Sam Webb know that...and he's trying to get misleading info out there to make it seem like he won't be at Michigan?

Recruiting is awesome.
