Detroit Red Wings (Official Thread)

Kyle Quincey will have nightmares of Vladimir Tarasenko the rest of his life. That Oshie shorty was unbelievable. Pietrangelo basically ripped him a slap shot & he brought it in perfectly, before adding more misery to Howard's night. There's really nothing Jimmy could've done on almost all of the goals he gave up. He was completely left out to dry by the defense virtually every time. If the defense was non-existent, there were no words to describe the offense. They didn't even show up, so there's no need to delve into those woes.

I wasn't around during the "Dead Wings" era, but I've heard the stories. I'd have to imagine it looked a lot like what happened on Saturday night. I can't recall a single game that looked as bad as this one. I knew they would struggle this season after losing Lidstrom & literally completely ignoring the obvious void on defense (Signing Samuelsson & Tootoo ? too funny), but I never thought it could be this bad. This is going to be one season to forget if this game was any indication.

I caught the tail end of it. At least there was someone there (Yzerman) who you wanted to watch. And while they weren't good at all, they weren't euro-pansies who are tissue paper soft and get pushed around all the time.

This team doesn't know what it wants to do and as a result, did absolutely nothing.

Let's go Jackets!!!

While there's a Jackets thread, it wouldn't shock me if the Jackets won tonight - something like 3-1 or something around that range - IF the Jackets come out and play like they did against Nashville that is.
