DT Dre'Mont Jones (Seattle Seahawks)

http://www.landgrantholyland.com/20...ones-talks-about-his-commitment-to-ohio-state

"(I'm excited to) finally put on a uniform and (start) playing," he stated. "I love the school. It's like a childhood dream for me, so me coming here is a really big thing."

Cleveland Ignatius is home to one of the best players in the 2016 class in the form of offensive linemen Liam Eichenberg. Jones plans on recruiting Eichenberg to play with him and Ignatius grad Kyle Berger at Ohio State.

"Liam and I are really close. We talk a lot, so I'm going to be in his hear a lot," Jones admitted. "I want him to come here just like me and Kyle."

Momentum is certainly rolling for the Elite 15 class. Welcome to the Buckeye family Dre'mont. Keep the D line stacked as coach LJsr has stated many will get PT to keep players fresh throughout the season.

Nice, love this commitment! Really establishing ourselves at St. Iggy. Make no doubt about it, Dre'Mont is one of the better players in Ohio and has plenty of versatility...can end up at SDE or DT. Welcome aboard Mr. Jones!

Gallimore in Ohio
The Athens at Steubenville game is not the only game of great interest the Buckeye commitments will be involved in this weekend. Cleveland St. Ignatius hosts Canada Prep Football Academy on Saturday night. The game features Ohio State defensive end commitment Dre’Mont Jones and Buckeye 2016 offensive tackle target Liam Eichenberg for St. Ignatius, and defensive tackle Neville Gallimore for Canada Prep Football Academy.

I will be at that game on Saturday night and will be posting updates from the game on the thread I start later today featuring Buckeye commitments in action this weekend. After the game I intend to talk to the three star prospects.

And speaking of Jones, I spoke with the future Buckeye on Friday night and one of the things I asked him about was Eichenberg. Of course there has been a lot of talk about Eichenberg and Notre Dame. And while Jones agreed Eichenberg is interested in the Fighting Irish, he said Eichenberg is also “definitely interested in Ohio State.” Jones said he doesn’t bother Eichenberg in regards to promoting Ohio State too much to him, but he does “hit him up” sometimes when it comes to eventually becoming a Buckeye.

Three Ohio State commits get rankings adjustments
Jones was the recipient of the biggest move. Formerly a four-star with a rating of 91, the Cleveland (Ohio) St. Ignatius product has been bumped all the way up to inside the Top100 with a grade of 96. We were really high on Jones' film as a junior but had limited opportunities to evaluate him in person. Steve Wiltfong was able to see him earlier this fall and he impressed. He's been outstanding as a senior after starting for the first time as a junior. We've also heard from people that we trust that have seen a lot of Jones as a senior that he's one of the nation's elite defensive ends.
