OH OL Liam Eichenberg (Notre Dame Signee)

Tough to lose in-state talents like this. Kramer was actively recruiting Eichenberg to ND...similar to how Hausmann has been working on Farrell for OSU. There is no doubt in my mind that Karmer was the far bigger miss for the OSU staff but I only see 3 OL in this class now and with Gerald and Wohlabaugh on board they can star chase for an out-of-state tackle to compliment the other two. Jauan Williams is the name you hear most but I have some concerns there. Greg Little is a bit of a pipe dream to me. I think Bredeson ends up at either Michigan or Wisconsin. I really like Menet and he seems to really like OSU among others. I would prefer him or Michael Jordan as the third lineman in this class.

Seriously though, good luck kid.

This has happened numerous times (Ohio Catholic School kids choosing ND over tOSU) since I've been following recruiting. It is a reality in many states. Unlike many coaching staffs, however, this staff will not give up if they think they've got a chance (see Taylor Decker). So while I think Kramer's recruitment is over, I don't Eichenberg's is.

Edit: Maybe Decker wasn't such a great example as he didn't go to a Catholic high school, but we did steal him from ND...

Not good. This class is going to be off the charts good at the end of the day but I hate missing big time Ohio guys.
I think the home runs we hit in 2015 will make up for these 2. We can afford to be pickier this year and the staff can see guys this summer. Still a lot of talent still uncommitted. And like @Krenzelicious said, this ain't over with Reichenberg anyway. It will also be interesting to see our season vs NDs also. A repeat NC can look better than a team in the Beef O Bradys Bowl

There's no one (or even two or three) recruits whose commitments elsewhere will cause me any substantial anxiety, whether they're from Ohio or some other place. This is especially true given the excellence in recruiting that has been demonstrated by the current staff headed by Urban Meyer.

If this kid really wants to spend the next four years in South Bend, Freaking Indiana, his priorities clearly are different enough from mine that I'd find little to say to him at a party.

Menet recently listed a top 2, and only 2 schools, of PSU and Duke. In other words, he's going to PSU.

That and there are a few other reasons why Decker was a unique flip. 1) The old staff didn't offer him (LOL), 2) We flipped Warriner from ND, 3) Urban magic. None of those would apply to either Kramer or Eichenberg. Outside of a coaching change, I don't see either flipping. Especially assuming we get another guy that would essentially fill up our last OL spot before then.
