OH OL Tommy Kraemer (Notre Dame Signee)

Well, we have to at least chase him for the next 13 months so we can say we gave it our best. The odds are probably pretty low but Urban has pulled off way too many miracles to doubt that he at least has a shot. You just cannot let a talent like Kraemer leave the state without a fight.

I don't see it happening either. Decker was a kid who always wanted an OSU offer and finally got one once Meyer was hired and he hired Hinton and Warinner away from ND. Plus, ND didn't offer his preferred major of exercise science, which was another thing working in OSU's favor once they hired Meyer.

You can ALWAYS bank on a purple face implosion. That could be enough to sway him.

His choosing to go the ND is not surprising with his attending a parochial high school. There's a reason why ND is so successful in recruiting catholic high schools on Ohio...

I can't speak to schools outside of Cincinnati but in recent memory OSU has won its share against ND in recruiting the Catholic schools in Cincinnati. Hubbard and Hilliard come to mind in the last two years and Devier Posey from LaSalle in the last 7 years?. I'm just going off the top of my head so I'm sure I'm missing somebody that OSU lost out on. But I don't figure a kid like Hendrix or the St. X QB who was only offered by kelly to lure a lineman. Neither one of those kids had above MAC level talent. If OSU wants a kid out of X or Moeller or LaSalle they will always be in the hunt. Coombs has great relationships with those staffs. Elder is a different animal. Those particular west siders still hold the beliefs the Rudy just happened last year and ND is still relevant.

This is accurate. My father-in-law is an Elder alum. It would take a minor miracle to pull a top flight Elder recruit away from the Domers. I know - there are exceptions to every rule, but this one is as hard and fast an unwritten rule as you'll find.

Now my dad, on the other hand, played football at St. X. He'd rather shoot himself in the toe than root for Notre Dame.
