Ohio State 53 Indiana 59 (Final)

It is unusual situation we are in.....we lost three players in the first round of the NBA draft and the other two are playing overseas........you just cannot reload after one year without some stumbles along the way........we have been in every game this year except for the A&M game.....we are close but can't seem to get over the hump......we have two major areas that need improvement, the pg situation and the low post scoring....next year the answers will be here (Crater and Mullens).....not to mention a very exciting player in Buford who is a pure scorer.........let them play and learn this year.....better things to come.....if they get some breaks down the stretch and play with consistent intensity....we could play ourselves off the bubble....it is not over yet.

It is so frustrating to play great against North Carolina, Tennesse, MSU, and Indiana.....only to shit the bed against Iowa and most of the Michigan game. They are so close it isn't even funny.

We could've won this game with soem improvement in our FT's. If we made a few extra it would have been a much closer game. Koufus' 3 point attempt from behind the glass didn't help either. Also later in the 2nd half Turners airball on the three was ugly he had plenty of time on the shot clock and could have made a few extra passes for a higher precentage shot. They were getting greedy and tried to get it all back at once.

I really am having a hard time trying to understand you. Butler "called out the team" so I guess that means he needs to put 20 points up in every game he plays. What's the big difference in saying something to the media or calling a team meeting and let everyone speculate what has been said. How many guys have put in the minutes that Butler has with no rest. I don't know why they offered Hill a scholarship. That's a question you will have to ask Matta. He hasn't shown me anything this season except just to dribble around the perimeter on offense. If Butler isn't in the game, there is no guidance at all. See my post in the Butler thread on what Kellogg said about Butler. Take that for what it is worth unless you know more about basketball than Clark.

Not sure what is so hard to understand...But I will give you the cliff notes version of my feelings...

- He is the leader, he was playing well going about his business, he didn't need to separate the team with his comments...He didn't say us, we, etc, he said they, making him out to be superior to the rest of the team...

- Now they have stepped up, and no I don't believe it has anything to do with Butler's comments I believe it just has to do with freshmen ups and downs...

- You have never seen me put down Jamar's play, just upsetting that he was the one that looked to be unassertive on Sunday...He had shots open, he didn't try and create, the couple times he took his jumper off the bounce he made it and those were his only 4 points...

- I understand the tired comments, but a senior leader that has basically said he is the best player on the team and in one of our biggest games of the season lays an egg...He has been thru this for 4 years, we hadn't played since Tuesday he had 5 days of rest...I just don't see the reason for total exhaustion in this game...Hell Indiana guys just went double OT on the road and then had to fly home and then to Columbus and they didn't look tired...

I truly believe and maybe I am wrong in my assumption, but if Matta truly believed that Butler was as tired as people are making him out to be then he would go to PJ Hill, and you cannot tell me that PJ if given 10 minutes in this game would of been as bad as what Jamar played...

He just hasn't been looking to take the big shot, make the big play, just don't understand it...For a kid that acts like he truly wants to win more than anything with his comments, his actions weren't showing Sunday IMHO...
