OK OL Josh Wariboko (UCLA Signee)

Not sure what the odds are but Wariboko would be HUGE (pun intended). If he is not the best interior OL in the country, he is close. With Allen out of the picture, I would think we need another interior guy to target harder now.

I would say yes. Two of Burrell, Richmond, Prince, Wariboko, etc. Can't see them taking two more guards though. One of them needs to be Richmond or Prince.

I really like Christian Pellage but doesn't seem like there has been much contact and he is trending towards South Carolina. Connor Williams from Texas is another name to remember, although Texas and Oregon look to be the teams to beat there.
Interesting. So, you are saying Burrell is an inside guy? Also, I agree we only take 2 more on the OL but why not 2 good/great interior guys? Haven't we landed OT so far in this class?

I think Burrell is seen as an inside guy, who could play outside in a pinch. OT is a very hard position to predict and has little room for error on projecting. We can bring in multiple OTs and Convert to OGs if need be. The opposite isn't true, which we saw under our previous regime several times. Richmond is a guy we stay after until NSD and then the last spot is kind of up for grabs between Burrell, Wariboko and whoever else the staff deems fit

I like Burrell at RT but he definitely can slide down to guard. Wariboko is 100% guard...absolute nasty mauler inside who could play right away here. I would be drooling over a future guard combo of Knox and Wariboko

Makes sense. Feder is definitely an OT though and Schmidt certainly seems like an OT to me too but I'm no expert. My only difference in thinking than Wade is that I would be thrilled to finish with any of those 4 guys mentioned, I'm not too picky. Finish with Burrell and Wariboko? All day baby. And I wouldn't think twice about it.

Feder is definitely a tackle but Schmidt could end up at tackle or guard depending on our need imo. That would be a really mix to have and I think if we are to get a strictly interior OL, Wariboko would be huge. Now if Richmond pulls the trigger for us, it will be interesting to see if there is room for Wariboko and Burrell. Moreover, I could easily see a scenario where Richmond and Burrell come on board and we are determining if we have room for a 5th in Wariboko. Very speculative at this point but in any event, it would be a good problem to have.

Hey don't get me wrong. I would love an elite OT in Richmond or Prince I just think Wariboko and Burrell are very good in their own right and it we land any 2 of them it would be great but the perfect scenario is Wade's example. I'm just excited we are in on so many studs and I expect that with another outstanding year by Coach EW we will be in this track as long as he is here.

I would be more than happy to finish with Wariboko and Burrell...that would be huge. I just mean I am curious to see if we get a two of Richmond/Prince/Burrell if Wariboko still has room as the 5th OL. Personally, I would love to take him in such a scenario.

Mind of Mike
The recruiting process of four-star offensive lineman Josh Wariboko has been an interesting one. After being an early commit to Oklahoma and then de-committing, there have been plenty of rumors on where he may be leaning. The most recent rumor, and one of the stronger ones, has been to UCLA, but keep an eye out on Ohio State as the Buckeyes are recruiting him as hard as anyone, followed by Oklahoma State, the Bruins and Texas A&M. The Sooners are still in the picture, but not pressing as hard as some others.
