Linsley is indeed a beast. Just got word that we (UF) got a commit from Nick Alajajian. As long as we keep getting guys like Corey and Nick, our respective programs will have continued success.

Interesting you mention Alajajian...he and Linsley looked a lot a like on film to me and what's even more surprising is that Rivals and Scout seem to agree on them as well...Scout has Nick as the #1 OG and Linsley at #9...Rivals has Nick at #3 and Linsley at #8. Both are around 6-4 285 lbs and top 10 at their position in the country...and both are very athletic for big men.

Coming off last season?s 8-4 record that included two playoff games, the Spartans know they aren't going to sneak up on anyone this fall.

"The bar was obviously raised last season with our great record and how our seniors led," senior lineman Corey Linsley said. "I think it has set the bar even higher than people think. We obviously lost a lot of great leaders."

Linsley says scoring through the air is not “a surprise to us, but definitely to [opponents] we face. It helps us a lot with how other teams approach us defensively and it opens up the run. We’re now two-dimensional.”

Early in the second quarter, the Black Tigers had the Spartans inching backwards after a holding call. Facing third-and-20 from the Boardman 15, Boyd threw a swing pass to Jarrett who raced 85 yards down the sideline for a 14-0 lead.

“That was pretty sweet, I’ve got to tell you,” Linsley said. “I watched him [take off] and [thought] ‘Man, I’ve got to run all the way down there.’ But it was a fantastic run.”
