OL Demetrius Knox (Official Thread)

Absolutely no reason to get your hopes up at this point...the visit to tentative at best. Even if he does visit I would prepare yourself for the idea that he remains a UT verbal.

Thanks Dr. Buzzkill, lol

But seriously, I'm curious to see if he actually visits especially since mack brown has strongly stated that he has changed his stance on committed players visiting other schools after so many visited other places and went elsewhere

Probably nothing to see here, but Mack Brown isn't in any position to be telling his highest rated recruit that he can't take visits.

Odds are Knox won't be playing for Brown whether he signs with Texas or not....

Actually as the head coach he is in the exact position to do so. Just because he hasn't had a successful season by texas standards doesn't mean that he's still not the coach of UT the most prestigous college in TX.

Agree though that he may not be there much longer.

‏@MarcGivlerBG 1m Looks like #Texas commit and 4* OL Demetrius Knox is in Columbus today visiting #OhioState #buckeyes

He posted a picture with him & Brax, as well as one with him in a Buckeye uniform, but those are off limits for posting, so I won't link them. Not getting my hopes up for this one, but still a positive that he visited, even if it was for family reasons. I thought he wasn't supposed to be visiting until next month ?

Why Texas fans shouldn't worry about four-star OL commit Demitrius
Staff reports
Published: 25 March 2013

Demetrius Knox is committed to the Texas Longhorns, but the Fort Worth All Saints guard grew up in Ohio as a OSU Buckeyes fan.

So when Knox posted a photo of himself and teammate Daniel Gresham in Ohio State jerseys on Instagram, it seemed like cause for concern for Horns fans, right?

Maybe not. According to SB Nation's Wescott Eberts, the duo did in fact visit Ohio State last weekend, but Knox said he was taking the visit to see his father in Ohio and told Buckeye coaches that he was "not going there."

Scout $ - Texas Commit Visits Ohio State

4/7

By The Bank....Had a great visit & loved talking with Coach Meyer. Says the staff told him he's the #1 OL on their board and he loved being in The Shoe. Still 100% committed to Texas & doesn't have any other visits planned besides a visit to Austin in the summer.
