Aggressive four-star Ohio OT earns offers from MSU, U-M

University Heights (Ohio) offensive tackle Kyle Dodson doesn't have the seemingly infinite highlight reel that many of contemporaries do, but such a production wasn't necessary to convince coaches and scouts of his blue chip status. Rated a four-star prospect and the No. 28 tackle in the country by Scout.com, the 6-foot-6, 310-pounder is an imposing presence on the football field. He missed the first seven games of his junior campaign with a back injury, but when he returned for the last four he wreaked absolute havoc.

"I'm really aggressive," Dodson said. "That's one of the big things that you're going to notice. I'm real, real aggressive and competitive. You will see me out there going crazy. I think (opponents) should be scared because I'm very aggressive. I'm angry. If you just look at me wrong on the field, I'm going to scream at you and you're going to get scared."

The truth is, most overmatched high-schoolers are likely petrified long before the yelling begins. His sheer size alone is intimidating. Throw in his above-average athleticism and you have a youngster that could very easily cause nightmares on the next level, as well.

"Dodson stands out because of his ability to move, pull and get into the second level at his size," said Allen Trieu, Scout.com's Midwest regional manager. "He's very naturally strong and I like how he finishes his blocks. He's very raw, but he does play at a school that spreads it out, so he has experience in pass protection as well as the running game. His upside is tremendous."
