OL Kyle Trout (transfer to Cincinnati Bearcats)

Come on down Kyle

http://ohiostate.scout.com/2/1264718.html

Meyer said the Buckeyes were happy with the skill position depth added on offense ? while mentioning he was slightly disappointed in grabbing only two offensive linemen, making that spot a focal point of the 2014 effort
Enroll early, learn in the spring, and start in the fall.

They did mention enrolling early as an option. But you guys can help me out... If you see people saying Kyle was asked to wait to commit until after NSD please correct them. That is not the case, he was asked to commit over a week ago. He could have committed at any time since the offer and spoke to Warriner and Meyer on the phone earlier today.

Not that it's a big deal, but he wasn't asked to wait...

Considering how short they are on offensive tackles, I'm not surprised.

Great position for both parties to be in really. OSU needs tackles badly and Kyle is a huge instate talent to fill that void. As for Kyle, he has an opportunity for early PT and likely on a yearly national contender...blocking for guys like Barrett, Elliott, Marshall, Clark, Wilson, and what will likely be a great class of playmakers in 2014, he has a chance to shine early and be a part of something special. Awesome to see that chance for an Ohio kid.

Thanks. So excited about yesterday that I forgot we have one in the side pocket already for 2014.
I gotcha brother. With Urban and the rest of this staff it is going to take a few of us brethren to help keep up with all the studs. It's just going to take that kind of attention to detail because stop and sneeze and you will miss a few 4* and 5* players now and again!

I wonder if he is the type of player that is willing to pick up the phone and call other guys that we might be interested in assuming that Sunday is a good day. I would think that Jones from Glenville and Trout could help pull in some of the other guys that Meyer would like to see.

Scout $ - Trout gives the latest

By Hickey....Was supposed to visit Notre Dame last weekend, but had to cancel. Grew up an Ohio State fan & says they are his leader. Unsure if he'll commit this weekend, but plans on graduating early & enrolling in January.
