OL Taylor Decker (Detroit Lions)

Who do the BPRT like better? Dodson or Decker? Are both LT? Not that it means a whole lot but Decker has that Wisconsin offer which is always pretty impressive in my mind.

I like Dodson personally...but could see OSU waiting to evaluate both at camp.

Reported verbal offers out to Alexander, Pirsig, Humphries, Goodman, Diamond and Webb means OSU is casting a wide net for tackles out-of-state but will probably be fairly selective in-state.

Agree. I also think the fact that Decker does not know where he stands and OSU just had Dodson in for a visit (spoke to Tres and the staff while here) tells us where they rank Decker vs Dodson.

It would appear the staff wants at the very least 3 OT in this class.

I would say at least 3 would be needed.

At least we already have Kalis, who very well could be the best out of all the tackles mentioned.

Kalis may be the best in the country in my books...this guy just doesn't relent and he has all the tools. Only thing that will keep him from being the top tackle is: Not being a left tackle and not being 6'8.

To get back on track though, I think Decker just has a world of potential. If we get Pirsig, I am not so sure we offer Decker though...very similar players.

Decker Gets The One He's Been Waiting For

Taylor Decker definitely thought about it.

The 6-foot-8, 285-pound offensive tackle from Butler High School in Vandalia, Ohio was pulled out of study hall on Thursday to go to his head coach?s office. His coach put him on the phone with Notre Dame assistant Tim Hinton, which wasn't a huge deal for Decker since he talks with Hinton regularly.

What Hinton had to say was a big deal, though, as he informed Decker he was being offered a scholarship by the University of Notre Dame.

"I wasn't expecting it because Coach Hinton was saying that they want to take their time and do it right, especially with guys out of state," said Decker. "I was really excited about it.
