Don't take one of the others I suppose? I mean he's 6'7" and looks like he can run fairly well for a man his size. At tight end you take size anytime you can get it because the last thing you want to be is a undersized but quicker TE because in this offense you need to be able to block and something tells me this fella will end up a good tight end or maybe even a great OT if he puts on anymore weight

We kind of have commitments from #3 TE who's 6'5 and an athletic H back/TE who's 6'4, and are favorites for a TE ranked right ahead of Angeline who's 6'6, sp none of them are undersized. Hawkins can easily get up to 250 by the time be hits campus too. And all are from Ohio. As much as this kid could be a big talent, Id take our current commits and favorite and not look back, though he's still a kid to keep in touch with just in case.

Penn State reportedly frontrunner to land ex-USC TE Cary Angeline

Cary Angeline could very well be headed home.

In its list of roster updates released Sunday, USC showed Angeline as having quit the team. “I wish him nothing but the best,” head coach Clay Helton said a couple of days later. “He is an awesome kid.”

A Pennsylvania high school product, it was thought that Angeline would be headed back closer to home to continue his collegiate playing career. Tuesday, the Los Angeles Daily News is reporting that they’re hearing that Penn State is the frontrunner to land the tight end.
