How did this go unnoticed?

I guess yesterday was "JVP Day" (since it was his birthday).
I'm suprirsed April 9 isn't "JVP Day". Oh well.

I like this post:
JVP made PSU great, more so than any single individual

Does this imply that Joesus was not a single individual?

Another good thread:

Basically, a rumor on some Pitt board is that Penn State is going to the ACC. So, basically, the cult's wildest dream is coming true, and all they can do is whine about how much the Pitt board sucks.

Perfect scenario to play out.....

PedState defies any and all conventional wisdom (and common sense) and voluntarily drops out of the B1G to go to the ACC.

Delaney then poaches the top 3 most respectable non-PedState schools that are left in the ACC to fill out the B1G, leaving the Pedsters in with the likes of UNC (academic fraud), Miami (boats 'n ho's), FSU (FSU) to form the new ACC (Athletics & Corrections Conference)

The Cult seems have renewed vigor in their quest to move to the ACC. The PSU Audibles board currently has a seven-page circle jerk about how awesome life would be in the ACC and how Penn St. would be treated like Amercan soldiers liberating Europe from Hitler's tyranny.

I admit that I don't really follow the olympic sports at all, but the Pedsters sure do love to pat themselves on the back about womens' volleyball. That being said, I must ask for a fact-check on a claim being made in that thread. I suspect this is just more of the standard Pedster bullshit, right? Do they really "kick this conference's ass" in everything other than the only two sports anyone cares about?

LDandy: "Unless our administration stops loving money we are in The B1G Forever. We already kick this conference's *** in just about every sport not named football and men's basketball, and now with CJF I believe that the tables will once again turn in our favor."

According to my research, men's team results (if someone wants to check women's sports be my guest):

Baseball: 0 championships
Cross Country: they're not even listed in the record book, so no team until very recently maybe?
Golf: 0 championships
Gymnastics: 2 championships
Ice Hockey: 3-16-1 in one season of Big Ten hockey
Lacrosse: officially a Big Ten sport this year, Penn State 0-3 all time in NCAA tournament- infinitely inferior to their east coast brethren Johns Hopkins and Rutgers, Maryland and Ohio State have won two tournament games all time
Soccer: 3 championships
Swimming/Diving: 3 championships
Tennis: 0 championships
Track: 0 outdoor, 0 indoor
Wrestling: 4 straight championships in last 4 years

They've been dominant in wrestling and can be described as competitive in soccer, swimming and gymnastics.

So, they've been "good" at 5/14 men's sports in the Big Ten- I'll be generous and give them football too.
