Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

I have survived yet another sojourn in the abyss of southeastern PA. I was lucky to avoid any interactions with PSU fans, but did have to un-brainwash my family a bit as their only interactions regarding the matter are with the old men at the diner that believe that JoePa did nothing wrong. I think it got through to them, but I'm sure I will have to do it all over again next time.

1. No, the players aren't being punished. Every single one of them had the choice to attend a different university and they all chose Penn State fully aware of the sanctions.
2. JoePa would be on trial with the other stooges if he wasn't dead.

In addition to running away from the dumpster fire that has been PSU football since November 2011, O'Brien also became an enemy of the Joebots when he told the truth to writer Dave Jones about how sick he was of the Joebots and didn't care what they thought. I doubt O'Brien really understood how much of the fanbase/alumni would just as soon destroy their whole university in an effort to "punish" the Board of Trustees and somehow go back to pre-scandal, when most of the country believed the sanitized, phony image Paterno had crafted for himself over the previous 60 years.

So the only reason that the referees got away with it before was because Joe was slow?

Well, is Joesus' defense, it's gotta be hard to run very fast when your pants are full of......

But seriously, they're already discussing Franklin's hypothetical reaction to a hypothetical situation in which they are victimized?

Victims (or whatever you want to call them) gonna victim.

Cults gonna cult......

Uh oh. Coach Franklin won't let the Big Ten's referees cheat.

And don't lose sight of the fact that Joesus instilled the victim (or whatever you want to call it) mentality in that fanbase over decades. They were always getting cheated out of national championships (see the ring of good seasons) because they had to persecute Joesus for being a better and more moral man than the rest of college football. And when the evil old man got to the Big Ten and could no longer have his handpicked ref crews working games, lo and behold, Ped State actually had some calls go against them. But rather than just be a frickin' man about it, Joesus had to create a whole new persecution complex among his loyal cultists.

BEAT NEBRASKA!

To be fair, we haven't seen Franklin (that I'm aware of) with a case of diarrhea, so who knows how he would stack up in a 50-yd-dash-to-the-john.

What I want to know is...

The first time we see a crooked walk, clock shenanigans, penalties for the crowd cheering too loud, heel-toe action or bounce passes to tight ends, CJF will go nuclear. He can run a lot faster than Joe could.]

...what's he gonna do when he catches them? Pummel them into sawdust? Yeah, that'll work. Refs respect a show of dedication from a coach. :sarcastic:
