Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Uh oh. The Cult is mad again. Mark Emmert is currently talking with the media and is addressing the PSU situation. Fabulous quote from Emmert: the main objectors to the sanctions are a "...limited number of board members who are very, very committed to the legacy of Joe Paterno."

Emmert further added that the majority of the PSU board was "incredibly supportive" of the sanctions.

The Cult now trying to get a reporter to ask Emmert why he is keeping the sanctions on Joesus. LOL

Yes, the pair of pants on the left is a tribute to the bottom half of Joesus. In the days leading up to the "Joe Out," BWI hyped that a pair of rolled up Khakis just like Joesus used to wear would be a fine tribute. Apparently, mere mortals just can't fill up a pair of pants like Joesus himself, however.

Famously, he filled them a little too well on at least one occasion.

Re: If assassinating the character of Mark Emmert was directly linked ....Reply

One cannot assassinate the character of a man who has none......but assassinating the man himself, that is a goal worth pursuing!

Death threats.

Not a cult, though.

It's only a matter of time before these nutcases start seeing images of Joesus on the sides of water towers and on pieces of frickin' toast. Oh wait, they already have.

Actually, this gives me an idea. I think I'm going to make something that looks like Joesus, claim it "just happened", sell it on EBay, and donate the proceeds to BP

Is the Big 10 now reaping what it sowed in regard to piling it on PSU.Reply

I believe that in the Big 10's zeal to pile it on PSU in wake of the NCAA's over the top and unwarranted sanctions, the BIG is now a weaker football league and it shows. I think the University Presidents, Athletic directors, and Delany thought that by weakening PSU by withholding Bowl money, stealing our players and recruits, we'd be an easy win every year. What I'm seeing is a weakened PSU football program from the sanctions that although is still plenty competitive, the rest of the league doesn't have to recruit or prepare to beat a stronger PSU team as they would have in the past.

Everyone but the Big 10 would acknowledge that the 1994 PSU football team showed the league that quickness and speed will beat the big and power of the past. Several years after PSU's 1994 team was robbed of a National Championship by the BIG's voters, the league had two other Football National champions in Michigan and Ohio State, all within a 10 year period. Three football national championships within a 10 year period will never happen in the BIG again unless Penn State is given an equal playing field again, which I believe will strengthen the entire league. That's my opinion, I'd like to hear from others.

MY question is this......How the hell do Scout and Rivals let them get away with straight up death threats? Especially when some of those loons are just crazy enough to go through with it?

I've never understood how Yahoo hasn't stepped in and pulled the plug on BWI. They've actually posted the home addresses of refs on there, and McAndrew let the posts stay up.

I hope it's still there when the site isn't down for maintenance
Oh, ha! Basically also in the story is that no voters from like FOX, ESPN, and someone else voted for PSU. And the first poster said something like "I get the TN voters and the retards from OH (yes, he used the word retards and yes he is an adult) makes sense, but FOX, ESPN, and ____ don't even realize they are sitting on the greatest scandal in sports!" As in, he was implying that they were manipulating the vote to not include PSU after they've played nobody and are an average at best team. And now this story is going to break the big story!

Penn State writer making quite the astute observation that some voters in Tennessee and Ohio didn't vote for PSU in the rankings. Then also notes that only 18 out of 60 voters had them on their ballot...

The comments though....particularly the first one

As soon as I saw in your post that there was a comments section to the article,. I instantly wondered if pnnylion/Jiohn Tratur would be found in the comments. And, of course, the second comment from the top is from Tratur. As much as pnnylion accuses dozen of posters of being paid public relations shills for the Ped State Board of Trustees, I almost wonder if pnnylion is not just a paid shill for the Paterno family. I mean, if there is a PSU news article with a comments section anywhere online, chances are extremely high that Tratur will be pontificating in the comments section.

Also from there:
-- The only Pennsylvania-based voter, Sam Werner, excluded Penn State from his ballot. Werner covers Pitt football for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Two writers who cover Big Ten football also did not cast a vote for Penn State -- Drew Sharp, a columnist for the Detroit Free Press, and Pete Diprimio of the Fort Wayne (Ind.) News-Sentinel.
