QB Antonio Henton (transfer to Ga. Southern and FT. Valley St.)

As of right now, he IS IN classes at OSU. He has been looking to transfer, but he likes it in Columbus. He said he may stick it out, he hasn't decided yet. We'll see...

He's be a fool to not at least give the option a little consideration. I for one hope he stays. But if he thinks he might fall too low in the depth chart he has two choices stay and see no significant playingtime or leave and probably be the starter or at least have a realistic shot at it (even though he likes it here). If indeed he feels that others are just flat out better than him and he doesn't want to ride the pine, he should probably go.

If I were in that sort position where I was buried in the depth chart, I know I would consider transfering. I might very not because of pride (I would feel like I was quiting and would want to stay loyalty to my team), but there is also a decent chance that I would want to go (hey, I want a chance to lead a team and Ohio State will hardly miss my presence anyhow (at least on gameday)).

I felt bad for him the minute I got the inside scoop that we were geting Pryor. I think he'd be a very good one, if there wasn't an even better one waiting behind him. It's a shame he didn't come along earlier or later.

Exactly.

Looks up and sees 6th year senior Todd Boeckman.

Looks down and sees the highest rated QB OSU has ever gotten.

Looks sideways and Bauserman isn't rolling over either.

Well, if this is true, I just hope the cop who busted him is satisfied about the "justice" that will play out in this kid's life as a result of that bust.

Seems like a mighty stiff price to pay.

I'm betting that he would be perfectly fine with that "justice" if he was #1 or #2 on the depth chart. The kid likes Columbus. His thoughts of transfering have more to do with playing time than a piss poor sting operation last year.

The issue isn't sour grapes. The bust had a direct and unwarranted effect on that very playing time. He lost (I believe) 7 games waiting for the issue to be resolved. PT in those games could have given him a chance to prove himself to the staff or boost his own confidence.

Any chance of him changing positions, such as to slot or wideout? He seems like a good enough athlete to do that...think of the pass off the end around options..

Where on the depth chart does it get any easier than at QB?

I ask this question not as a smart ass (rare), but in all seriousness. Which game was he going to get playing time in? I don't recall Bauserman coming in for Boeckman at all. I can't remember any playing time when he would have been in there.

I'd say that with all of the media coverage on his recruitment, it greatly exceeds the hype on Art... but that may just be because I have no idea how much hype Art got.

Art got enough hype to replace a starting Qb if memory serves me right. That would be quite a lot.

Bauserman redshirted. Schoenhoft played in 5 games with 25 pass attempts - Henton 3 games with 6.
