They (the writers, I assume) voted him "Best Arm" at the Under Armour Junior Combine back in late December.

Definitely want. I'd be happy with two out of Barrett, Zaire & Chapman.

Trubisky? But agreed, Barrett is at the top of my wish list for QB's.

Oops, forgot all about him to be honest. So yes, 2 out of the 4 and call it a wrap.

Scout $ - Texas QB Blowing Up

3/3

By The Bank....Will visit Baylor on 3/4, Ohio State on 3/12 & LSU on 3/17. Wants to make a decision before his senior year & distance will not play a factor.

Getting him on campus is huge.

Upon recently getting an offer from LSU, Barrett recalls how the news was given to him, "Coach Jim Garfield told me I had a call from Coach Kragthorpe, and they both went to college together. So, Coach Kragthorpe told me they like my film and they wanted me at LSU."

What are some important values you learned from Coach Garfield? "He told me every college will have some nice facilities, but look for coaches who will be there. He taught me not to get into the hype of recruiting." Tell us about the realtionship you have with your current coaches."My coaches have been like family to me, and I want to keep that relationship long after High School."

After recently visiting Texas Tech, do you have any upcoming visits planned? "Yes Sir, I will be visiting Texas on Feb. 25, 2012."

We also learned that JT should have an easy road to academic qualifications. He exceeded 1400 on his SAT, and will be taking the ACT. JT comes from a family that instills the importance of a great education, and football is merely an after thought. His parents weren't even impressed by his testing scores.

So is it safe to say your parents don't mention your gridiron success much? "Yes Sir, when I received my offer from LSU I mentioned how it was a great day to my mom, and she wanted to know why, so I told her I just got an offer from LSU." What was her response? "Oh okay."

If there are any early leaders at this point for you JT, who would they be? "Ohio St., LSU, and Texas Tech."

Not only is JT on pace to graduate early, but he plans to enroll in January with a desire to major in sports marketing.

The talented quarterback manages to eclipse 1500 yards in the air, and on the ground. JT is looking to bring his team deep within the playoffs next football season.

What are your plans as far as visiting LSU? "I plan on making it down there during the spring." If there was one thing you tell Tiger fans, what would it be? "JT is a hard worker, and if I choice LSU, you will get my everything. I give 100% in everything I do."
