I play a lot of fantasy football and there was a lot of discussion this summer about knee injuries as many key players were coming back from bad ones. Some thought that Mikel Leshoures could be career ending. He's back and starting for the Lions. People thought Jamaal Charles would not be himself this year and wouldn't get his explosiveness back til next season. He looks incredible. Rash are Mendenhall was said to likely miss the entire season after tearing his ACL in the playoffs. He had a big game last week in his return. And last but not least, nobody seemed to believe that Adrian Peterson would return week one after suffering the exact same injury that Barrett reportedly has suffered late last season. But he was out there week one and looked as good as ever. The consensus now seems to be that you can throw out all the case studies on knee injuries from even five years ago. There have been serious advancements and these knee injuries that were once career ending aren't even costing guys a full calendar year.
