QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

No offense to JT or Kenny Hill, but A&M's WR corps are freaking monstrous!! How do they keep getting these gigantic wideouts in College Station? I was seriously impressed.

I'm with you though on my hopes for JT tomorrow and this season.

Exactly. I forgot about Ricky Seals Jr he looked enormous on TV. Combine him, Noil, and 84 (name escapes me) and you have as good of a offense as any. I like a&m's running back rotation too because #1 is really fast and then they bring in a heavier guy who wasn't slow by any means. Overall if they just had a defense a&m would be a serious player but they made Dylan Thompson look amazing last night and refused to adjust to the seam routes that SC was hitting them with.

I think JT should look to this as inspiration but because we will run the ball 60% of the time ain't no way JT throws the ball over 30 times a game.

Side note but if a&m somehow lands the wr from arizona we are in on (name escapes me) my oh my will they be good.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, Christian Kirk. Hopefully he wasnt watching that game last night. hehe

I hope JT finds his downfield game as well. I really believe that we are going to need a mixture of short and long passing to go with our spread.

This A&M game is what has frustrated me for the last couple years. A lot of these spread teams are playing pitch and catch all over the field and we are lucky to complete 20 passes a game. I love me some Brax, but come on.

Obviously our WR depth chart hasn't been good until this year but guys are just wide open all over the field in most of these games.

I agree. Having back to back big games where we complete 6 and 8 forward passes is pretty frustrating.

I am hoping that having a quarterback who grew up in Texas playing pitch and catch will move our offense a little closer to what we saw in the A&M game.

I kinda have to tolerate the "Percy Harvin" position talk. No pumpkin way should "being like aTM" talk ever establish a foothold in our description of what the Buckeyes should be.

You don't want to run up 52 points on the #9 team in the country on the road, at night with a redshirt freshman QB, and a bunch of young WRs?

I'd like to score points. In the north, that is called exposing a laughably overrated team.

I'd also like to play defense, something rarely done in college station .

It is frustrating which is why I think I have been more positive then some regarding Braxton going down. Lets be honest, Braxton was not going to top 250 yards passing in a game too often and if he struggles with great defenses as a junior he really isn't going to be much better off as a senior.

My hope is that JT can bring a little bit more balance and with that extra year Braxton can learn the offense even more.

Don't get me wrong we are better with Braxton on the ground but through the air I think the potential is there to be stronger.

Giuton brought a balance to the offense that Brax couldn't quite duplicate. Then again, Kenny had weaker teams to light up versus the schedule Brax played. All I know is that JT was able to move the team against our guys in the Spring and Fall.
