J. T. Barrett is human, his confidence can drop at times. Interesting coaching methods:

Seems to struggle with crossing routes on occasion. The first interception, if smith kept going straight, he had a td. Smith seemed to settle too close to first DB. The second interception should not have been thrown. He had better options wide open. Part of learning.

Awards are fine, but we've seen the direct results of going on the awards circuit. I'd prefer our bunch stay away and focus on games, not any of the fluff.

One QB in one year doesn't equal a habitual issue for OSU QBs. And it's not fluff, it's getting rewarded for great performance.

Maybe so, I'd rather not risk it or bother with it. I mean, the real reward is a team thing right? That's what I'd guess these guys really value, so focus on the real prize.

No one wants any of them to take their eyes off the real focus this week nor next. If JT deserves the award or just being nominated, great for him. Is there a chance he could lose sight of the game if he is nominated? Sure. But he also has demonstrated high level of maturity.
