QB Stephen Collier (Official Thread)

One thing is for certain: the guy everyone thinks is gonna play always plays. Germaine over Jackson. Bellasari...at safety, Zwick over Troy, Lydell Ross over MoC, Boeckman over Pryor and if that taught us anything it's that Braxton was gonna start his freshman year over Joe B.

In all fairness, Braxton should have started over Joe B.

The guy who works the hardest is probably going to start.

Collier was not pleased with this article (per his twitter)

If I were Stephen I wouldn't be happy with that article either. I'm glad Cardale calmed him down on twitter though. Collier didn't come to OSU(or plan to go to any school) to sit and ride the bench for most of his career. I'm glad he said something, and didn't sit idly by, because if he did that then he would've came off as fine with the article and in agreement with sitting for his career and being a backup. I find myself rooting for him more now after hearing him get pissed. Put that work in, in practice and earn your spot kid. Show that 3stars don't mean a damn thing and you're every bit as good as JT and cardale.

If Tom Herman and Urban Meyer think he's good enough to be on scholarship at Ohio State, then there's something there that suggests he's good enough to eventually be OSU's starting QB. They didn't invest a roster spot on him to sit around either.

We don't bring in "back-up "players of any sort.
Rumblings that Colllier has had a growth spurt and looks massive.
Anyone seen him lately?

There's a pic of him in the 2014 Camps/Combine thread standing with Burrows and Danny Clark.

The next #5.

What I really love about him is his deep ball. He hits his drop and immediately steps into the throw and puts it out there. There's no hanging around in the pocket. Could end up being the star of this unbelievable class when he gets his opportunity.
Just wanted to reiterate my feelings from before. Kid is going to be a star in Scarlet and Gray.

You might want to pump the breaks on him being a star, hell certainly have a heck of a competition during his career at OSU, between Cardale and JT next year, Burrows and whoever else is brought in for 2015, whoever is brought in in 2016. It'll be fun watching him mature, hope you're right. The staff has provided whoever is the starter at QB with a plethora of skill position players
