RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

Would be nice if they could hang onto the ball without a doubt in our mind that it will pop out. Both could be a nice combo to run and I really like how Rod Smith runs he hits the hole hard and seems a little more shifty than Dunn. Dunn ran hard yesterday and hope to see more from him the next 2 games.

Big score or not both Dunn and Rod Smith have to be losing trust fast with the coaches.
Hyperbole much? The fumble by Smith was caused by a perfect helmet-on-ball hit...even Hyde likely would've fumbled with that hit. Dunn bobbled the ball once while running at near full speed but didn't fumble.

Big game and close score I don't think you'll see either one of these two for the rest of the season unless Hyde can't go.
Dunn may not see the field if the game is close at Wisconsin or against Michigan, but I'll bet Smith will get a few touches to help keep Hyde fresh.

Duun had 13 carries for 73 yards (5.6 ypc) with the TD Saturday...not too shabby for a third-stringer even against a tired defense.

And even Hyde hasn't been 100% safe with the ball but the scariest guy running is obviously Brax. Buy a mile. And Brax gets more touches than any running back. But Brax is the guy who is more likely to go the distance than even the speedy Hyde.
Risk vs reward. Can't get Brax hurt so let other people pull their share of the load. That's where this offense should go. Is going.

Dunn shows all the physical ability in the world. He seemed to accept his place as a ST player last year very well.

I predict great things from Dunn. He may be OSU's next big thing at TB.

With the opening game suspensions of Hyde (3 games total) and Smith, Dunn will be getting a bunch of carries against Buffalo.

I thought Dunn was going to just be another LeVeon Bell like player. A big plodder. But since he lost some weight he has impressed me with being an every down, complete back. A bell cow. If he gets into a groove it could be hard for the other backs to get reps from him. He's that good.

You thought he'd be a back who just rushed for 1,700 yards in a season?

Official prediction: By the end of this season Dunn will be the primary ball carrier at the TB position. With the suspensions ahead of him, he has a great opportunity and based on his physical talent and the stuff he showed last season, I'd be shocked if he didn't capitalize and bypass those ahead of him.

I think that ALL of our RB's should be concerned with loosing time due to injury, being disciplined, etc. and being passed on the depth chart. Our RB's are just that good. Elliott might be the best of them all.

With that being said, Smith is only missing one game. He was ahead of Dunn on the depth chart and I think that he will establish himself in game two. JMO.

It is going to be interesting to see how everything plays out when Hyde returns.
