Standout running back Ezekiel Elliott carried the ball 12 times for 222 yards and five touchdowns. He scored another touchdown on a punt return. It was the first time he fielded a punt in the game, as the Rams went out of their way to kick the ball away from the Ohio State recruit.
?I think they were trying to kick it out of bounds,? Elliott said with a grin.
Instead Elliott fielded the punt and patiently worked his way around his blockers and past would-be tacklers for the smoothest 65-yard punt return you ever did see.
?He?s one of the best athletes in St. Louis,? MICDS coach Josh Smith said.

reminds me so much of Reggie Bush. What a great 3 weeks he's put together, can't imagine this offense with EZ, Marshall, and Jacobs in it. Going to be hard to stop that's for sure.

After his recent game, your comparison seems pretty close.

The only worry for me is that Mr Elliott doesn't seem to be playing against great competition. With that being said he obviously possesses all the skills to be great at the next level.

I also have had that cross my mind as well, but you have to remember he did extremely well onthe national stage over the summer. Plus he's doing what he should for a guy with his talent and thats dominate.

Urban got such a steal. If he was playing in Texas, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, or Cali he would be a 5star. Was great at camps this summer and showing how good he really is.

Crappy competion or not, he is impressive.

Why? He ran a 4.7-4.8 at the combine. Foster gets by on his vision and the Texans' fantastic OL. McCoy I agree with.

I was basing it off of both being the "new breed" of RB. True RB but can cathc it out of teh backfield. They have that long, lean build too that Elliott will have.
