RB Ezekiel Elliott (All B1G, All-American, National Champion, Pro Bowl, All Pro, New England Patriots)

Just sayin"; I couldn't tell a fark from a fart; however, based on the lighting and/or shadow difference between Zeke and the scUM fans it looks photoshopped to me.

Obvious fark because it's nighttime. Crowd shot is the Sparty punt/scoop/score aftermath.

Ezekiel Elliott and the Buckeyes Want the 2015 Heisman Trophy

ElliottOnStage.jpg

Ezekiel Elliott admitted the Heisman Trophy would mean a lot to him

Something has changed within Ezekiel Elliott. The Ohio State running back has always kept his head down, staying away from any unneeded attention, and let his play do the talking.

Three weeks ago, when asked for the umpteenth time this year about the Heisman Trophy, Elliott once again avoided comment.

“I’m just trying to get back to the Big Ten Championship,” he said at the time. “Go out there and get a win against a very good Michigan State team.”

The Buckeyes will not get back to the Big Ten Championship because Elliott and his teammates did not defeat the Spartans. It was that game that awoke the beast in Elliott, who spoke up uncharacteristically after the game.

“I think I do deserve more than [12] carries,” he said. “I think I really do. Honestly, I can’t speak for the play calling. I don’t know what was going on. I don’t know what they were seeing. Honestly… it didn’t work out. It wasn’t working.”

Yeah, Zeke is definitely the consummate "team player"; but I'll bet his frustration/disappointment of realizing his "Heisman hopes" were eliminated in the Sparty game contributed to his post game rant.

And Henry will have his Heisman while Beck is trying to get all his playmakers touches.

Hey I'm not saying Beck got it "right" by any means, but even Zeke admitted that his health was much better later this season compared to last. The amount of rushes Zeke got in the MSU game was asinine, no doubt. However, Zeke has only had a single 30-attempt rush game (ttun). Henry had 46 - FOURTY SIX - attempts against Auburn. He also eclipsed the 30+ attempt marker twice. Of course he's going to had good total numbers.

Carries or blocking blitzers or blocking for the QB. It takes its toll., to me you use your nuclear weapon as often as you can.

I feel like we did so (outside of the MSU game). Zeke got a ton of carries, threw a lot of pass (97) and run support blocks, and caught 26 passes (16 more than Henry). The amount they utilized Zeke was just enough without risking injury. The problem is that we don't have a solid backup to send in while Zeke rests. We had Curtis Samuel but he has now gone to the WR-HB camp. That said, who knows what Henry will look like in the playoffs after this game against Florida. Will he be sore and beat up? Maybe. I personally think that was the risk the coaches were trying to avoid but it bit them in the butt one particular game.
